Matt Lafluer has been a driving force behind the Green Bay Packers’ offensive turnaround. Matt Lafluer deserves credit for turning around the 2023-24 NFL season with a young team. Matt Lafluer played a big role in the development of Jordan Love. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

I really think the Vikings should tag Darnold. The QB price should be a shade under 40 mil. But the Vikes are sitting on roughly 75 mil in cap space. I don't know who their free agents are but obviously the team is good enough that you don't need monster signings. They could tag and trade at least getting more than a 2026 3rd round comp pick. Or let him play on the tag while McCarthy returns from injury and can actually practice so they can do a better assessment.

For the love of everything good, how is Campbell up for COTY when he doesn't even call plays or coach the O or D. Blows my brain. He's careless, egocentric, and obnoxious. At least Vikings coach is the playcaller. Lafleur actually coaches the guys. Has the youngest team for the 2nd year in a row and will be in the playoffs. Back up QB wins, shuffling thru injury, ect. It's so frustrating that Lafleur doesn't get the love or respect he has earned.

The fact that the Lions haven’t completely collapsed under the weight of all those injuries is why. They are 12-2 missing most of their starting defense. He 100% deserves to be in the conversation. He’s a big reason why their top market OC and top market DC have chosen to stick around rather than being HC’s elsewhere. ALL of his players love him and play their asses off for him. Coaching doesn’t have to be about calling plays. Nick Saban arguably one of the best college coaches of all time didn’t call plays. I’m pretty sure neither Jim nor John Harbaugh call plays either for that matter, and they are two great NFL coaches.

Because it's coach of the year not coordinator of the year. You have to have you head buried deep in sand to not recognize that Campbell has been a great head coach

Isn't Campbell one of the biggest reasons they lost in the playoffs last year? Has he fixed that issue yet?

The lions still have a great offensive line and have one of the most accurate quarterbacks that gets rid of the ball very quickly so I wouldn’t count them out even with all the injuries they have. As far as the red flag goes for Matt it’s a great way win or lose to reset your offense or defense and give you guys a break. It’s a wonderful tool to control the clock in game speed

The geeen bay Packers are the best roster top to bottom. Top 5 QB Jordan Love Top 3 RB Josh Jacobs, Top WR room in the league, A Top 5 TE in Tucker Kraft, Top 3 CB in jaire , Top LB in edgerian Cooper. Matt Leflur should be couch of the year. He won 3 games without his star QB. The Packers are slept on but this team and staff are championship ready.

You know Andy I usually agree with almost all you post on our Packers. But this is one topic we are going to have to agree to disagree on! I do think Matt LaFleur is definitely an above average coach in this league. He proved that fact after Aaron Rodgers left helping develop Love & this offense. Proving he can win still without a hall of fame QB to carry his teams to glory. Plus we know the past two seasons this team has been the youngest in the NFL! He's certainly a master passing guru. With a high caliber QB & weapons he balls. But by no means do I think Matt is the greatest coach on the planet like many do! Hate how he handles run game. Never utilized it well or given his star RB enuff touches. He's one of the very worst time of possession coaches I've ever seen over his career. He's always quick to abandon run game once he is behind. Hates to run on 1st downs. 2024 he had 7 incompletions on 1st downs in 1st half vs SF all while 33 was balling? Why didn't he continue to run the ball with Aaron Jones & eat the clock up vs the 49ers? For me he cost his team that game & a possible trip to SB & NFC championship games! LaFleur has always been atrocious with his red flag challenges since day one. His teams have always been abysmal in short yardage on both sides of the ball. Just awful on both sides of the ball on 4th downs getting them or stopping them. Awful converting 2 pt. conversions & worst at stopping others teams getting them. Teams take too many penalties ~ an undisciplined team is a reflection of coaching! The statistics back up the points I've risen don't tell me otherwise! It is what it is. Lafleur also lucky to have a team that gives him the players & tools to succeed. Few organizations spend the money GB will & are as good at draft & development. Matt's far from perfect. But he's finally leaning into his run game more than ever before. He's brought in a much better defensive coaching staff which was long overdue! So I would say I agree Matt is certainly one of the top coaches in the NFL today. GB still have a chance to pass the suspect Vikes with a win next week in Minnesota. First game Love returning from injury threw 4 INTs yet stormed back to lose by only 2! Lions so banged up they'd have a good chance at the upset even on the road in Detroit. Eagles this team should of beaten in week 1 with 3 turnovers when they were in Brazil. It'd be better if the Lions hang on for top seed so Eagles have to play an extra game! Love no INTs past 4 games ~ 9-1 last season & 3-1 this season when throwing no INTs! GB's cornerbacks & pass rush must improve. Keys to any sustained post-season run. Opportunity is there for this team if they seize the moment. Gelling at the right time. It wouldn't be easy winning 4 games on the road. But this team has done it before! Go Pack Go!

Lafleur is a decent coach, but I agree he's definitely not a COTY candidate.

@@PackerBacker911 Not this season for certain. Unless he were to get to the Superbowl & win it hard to make a case for him. 3rd in the NFC North is under achieving for this GB team! Too many other great coaches doing more for their teams this season. The Vikings coach certainly would have to come before Matt at this point in time with a better record & a suspect QB. A team no one thought had any chance at the start of the season. Plus he is only one of many other candidates who have done more for their teams this season. Go Pack Go!

If Coach of the year actually went to the best coach in that year, Andy Reid, Mike Tomlin and Bill Bellichek would have more trophies to display. Kevin Stefanski's got 2 of them in part because he's overcome Browns ownership and the GM. I think that Matt Lafluer is a top 5 coach. There's no denying that he needs to work on his clock management skills, his 4th & short play calling, his overall decisions on when to go for it on 4th down or not, and getting his team to play more disciplined. I do think that his decision making to throw the challenge flag or not is a bit overblown. Yes, he hasn't been successful, but at times that's because refs are VERY hesitant to admit a blunder. Last year against the Steelers that WAS a lateral pass and we should've been credited with a recovery. LaFluer is in his 6th year as a Head Coach, and if the Packers win out it will be the FOURTH time his team has finished with 13 wins. In his 2 other years he finished 8-9 and 9-8 in the regular season. He really deserves more credit for what he's accomplished and I think that he SHOULD win Coach of the Year one of these years considering the entirety of his resume. This year, I think that KOC deserves it more, but getting 2 or 3 wins with Malik Willis should earn Matt Lafluer more praise.

@@JJB_80_815so by that logic, we just keep pushing it down the li e because of reasons. 4 out of 6 years with double digit wins, including taking the team past the wildcard round in a QB transition year.
