I agree that 'Splendored' is the correct word for the title of the song, however, Matt's interpretation of how he chose to sing it has him clearly singing 'splendid' over 'splendored'. A good choice too as it sounds much better.

The beautiful word "many-splendored", coined by the author, means something that spreads "multiple splendors" (flowers, golden crowns, life inspiration etc) , whereas "many splendid" is simply a grammatical error.

He is not mispronouncing 'splendid' he is actually singing 'splendid'. The actual name of the song is 'Love is A Many Splendored Thing' but Matt prefers to use the word 'splendid' rather than 'splendored' which I think works very well. Artistic choice and all that. I think you maybe meant to say that the other way round.
