I remember reading in an interview a while back when they did their first US tour in like 12 years or some shit they said the main reason was they needed money so they could keep up their daily routine of getting fucked up and watching old school horror movies. also a lot of rumors/lawsuits even involving gus and liz not paying other band members for their work on albums

Saw High on Fire open for Meshuggah about a year and a half ago. My buddy and I were the first people in line outside. Waiting to get in, we saw Matt Pike just hanging around outside. At that time, I had never heard of High on Fire, and did not know who he was. Just looked like some big biker dude that you didn't want to cross. I wish I had known, I would have gone up and said hi. High on Fire was my favorite opening band ever, their show was awesome.
