I'm starting to think people are saying matt isn't funny as a way to relate to women or score points with the demographic. I'm a straight white married guy and i think he's hysterical. Dave Chappelle thinks he's funny, and Dave is hands down the greatest of all time. That's all the endorsement matt needs in my opinion.

I mean, it's a pretty tame joke. Matt's crowd work is much better than his written material IMO.

Exactly. I turned this netflix special after 5 mins as well. It's horrible. But his crowdwork is pretty decent. I think he got this netflix deal and put up a special pretty fast. And it just doesn't work like that. You need a year or few years of writing and testing and tweaking the material to collect enough matetial to do a special. As far as i kniw he spent all last year doing crowdwork only. Of course his hastily done special will suck balls. He hasnt been doing anything except crowdwork. Thats apples and oranges. I'd still suggest these guys to do matts red flags, or milk and cookies bit or some compilation to see if his hype lives up to their expectarions. I would't scratch him of based soley on first 5 mins of his special. That s*** was trash

You guys should have done some of his crowd work videos first. Cookies and Milf is a really good one, I don't know if Netflix limited what he could say, but that special wasn't his best. He was stiffer on there than what we've seen

Bottom line is yes it’s a joke. By a guy who does comedy for a living. Ridiculous how people get so upset about jokes told by stand up comedians. Smh

He's a good looking guy so i think he got popular because most comedians are not that attractive but I think he's much more attractive than he is funny.

The joke was not hilarious, however Matt Rife is one of the very few public figures, who has actually stood up against cancel culture, and for that I think he deserves a little more respect than y'all are showing him. Between his refusal to bow out, and his response to the criticism, and Elon Musk's literal "fuck you" to Disney, it looks like people are finally starting to get a hint. Cancel culture can only exist if you play by their rules. They have no real control over anyone.

But yes he should be able to say whatever joke, agree with y'all I think on both accounts lol. Not a funny comedian - he should be able to say his jokes. (I'll be listening to Shane Gillis clips to get some laughs in lol). Love your work guys!

Have you heard of Nick Mullen? He's so damn funny especially on podcasts just rare he does One... He finally put out a special on KZbin. I think it's funnier then Shane's his abortion bit i was dying 😂😂😂

Comedy is how a mature population begins a conversation. Comedy should not have a nanny filter. If you don't like it or your offended, you do you. You are entitled to have feelings. I agree, anything is on the table (on stage). That is comedy.
