Matt talking about growing up and being nostalgic reminds me of how weirdly stuck my generation is at 28. I’m the same age and when I was a kid 28 year olds seemed so mature and now I think we’re all pretending to be adults but we are such children inside stuck between the past because it’s comforting and the future which is scary.

This. Thank you for validating the feeling I've been feeling as a 28 year old recently, I feel like stuck. I also feel like the newer generations are growing up so much faster, maybe because of technology or their sense of trying to connect with our nostalgia? I'm not so sure what it is.

When you are a kid your intuition about spirits is so strong. I remember walking into an old house owned by a friend of my dad's and as soon as I walked in it was like I was scared and uncomfortable. I remember my dad had to use the bathroom and I was left alone in the hallway and I thought something was next to me. My hair was sticking up, my heart raced, and I felt uneasy... as soon as I got out of that house I felt completely fine again. I know a lot of people don't believe in that stuff but I 100% believe in energy and bad energy was definitely in that house.

My parents are very toxic for not only my brother and I but for one another, but neither of them see it. On the reverse end, I have friends with divorced parents who have the best role models and examples for healthy relationships/connections. For me, I had to do alllll the work myself to figure out what was healthy cause my parents did not lead by good, healthy example

When my son was a toddler, he saw something in his room that I could not. It made him giggle. I naively decided it was probably his dead great grandma and didn't think anything of it. We are taught to believe in ghosts because of interactions like this, but I realized 13 years later there are no such thing as ghosts. There are demons that can appear as randoms or as actual people that existed- they are what mediums are communicating with, NOT the loved ones people think they are. This knowledge came from learning about spiritual warfare and reading my Bible. You don't have to believe it, but consider it as you examine ghost "evidence" in the future. Back to my son...when he was 16, he heard voices telling him to hurt himself, and there is no doubt it was the same demon who appeared "as a light" and made him laugh when he was a toddler.

@taraz6786 as females it's definitely easier to take those kind of jokes personally as it's a very real problem in the world, I'd like to think he doesn't hate his female fans as I've heard him joke about everything under the moon, no subjects are untouched by him, not just female related things. I don't know him, so I can't speak to his true character, but I'd hope that if he had a female friend and she was going through that, he'd not be picking fun at her. He's also said in interviews that making jokes out of the worst situations is how he copes with the world. As someone who's had a family member be in that situation, those jokes aren't as well received either, so I 100 percent get it. I personally think he's trying to get the male audience to take him seriously, and I guess that's how he thinks he's going to get it? I don't know? 🤷♀️
@taraz678611 ай бұрын
@@thefoxeshideaway But that’s so depressing, that in order to get some cred from the male population, he thinks bashing and beating up on women figuratively and literally is the way to go. And let’s not forget, that we all love dark humour, especially women, which is why we liked his comedy in the first place but I just don’t think he is at that place in terms of talent to be able to craft a joke that is dark but also isn’t picking on victims. That takes skill and a certain level of intellect and maturity, which he seems to lack. The point is he acted like such a pick me simp for men and essentially roasts the female fans who got him famous, that it’s embarrassing at this point. I don’t plan on being one of the groupie women he mocks so that he can get scraps of male validation, it’s just so cringe and pathetic at this point. Plus there are far better comedians out there and his apology on insta just shows that he lacks emotional and intellectual depth and is really leaning into being a frat boy misogynist. 🤷♀️ I don’t respect that, especially when he has enough clout to be better but is still choosing to shit on women, especially his fan base. 🤦♀️
@thefoxeshideaway11 ай бұрын
@taraz6786 Oh, I agree, I think true, true comedians can make people laugh about things that are not at the expense of others. There have definitely been some things he's joked about that I believe have crossed the line. It is incredibly depressing that the male population would think domestic violence is funny. I've been beyond disappointed in men as of late, but im also going through a divorce, so im a bit bitter, lol. And yes, I do think women got him to where he is, so it is disappointing that he thinks he has to make violent jokes about women in order to gain a male following. I would also agree that he needs a bit more emotional depth as well. Sometimes, you do have to show real emotion. I hope that as he goes along, he evolves. It's fine that he wants to have a male audience , but i hope domestic violence isn't what men want to hear as far as jokes go. I don't mind dark humor at all, and despite what he probably thinks, his woman's audience isn't just in love with his face. We thought he was funny, too. I wouldn't think his sweet girlfriend would be high fiveing him about domestic violence, but that could just be me. I've liked 90 percent of his stuff, but there's no need to push away his original fans just to make it with the bros. I think he can easily have the best of both worlds. He'll figure it out one way or another. After all, there is no wrath like a women's scorn lol!
@taraz678611 ай бұрын
@@thefoxeshideaway Exactly and at least you are applying critical thinking. 👏 Some women are blindly following and accepting of him, regardless of his insulting and offensive tirade and him stating that he’s sick of his female fan base and wanting to replace them with men because of their weird infatuation with him. It’s bizarre but also concerning because if they can discard his conduct so easily, it makes me wonder what they let the men in their lives get away with. 🤔 You’re already well ahead of us all in that sense, considering you’re leaving a marriage that doesn’t serve you, which already takes maturity, intelligence, strength and an intense dedication to your own mental well being, and that is probably why you’re less tolerant of a disrespectful and mediocre man who shits on women. 🤔 👏

Thinking about it, I feel like horoscope stuff could be the same. Game of thrones has a dramatic sense of this when they say the children have only lived during summer years and never have been through a winter so they didn't understand and were too carefree. It's possible that the season or what's happening in the world at the time you at born, COULD definitely have an impact on your personality as you grow older. I will say that I am a gemini so I talk too much... I feel like I fit that role well. 😂

The worst one I’ve ever had to this day is a massive hand over my mouth, pushing so hard on my mouth I thought my teeth were going to break in. It hurt bad. I couldn’t move or do anything until it let go. I’m not Christian , but if you get stuck like this, say Jesus in your mind and they will go. I didn’t know this at the time during this and previous experiences , but I’ve tried this with following ones and it works. I was silly as a teen snd really messed around with ouija boards. I’ve had sleep paralysis most of my life .. I always thought it was spirit because I was/am so present during these.. I just can’t move.

The one thing I disagree with Matt, is astrology. It’s a proven fact the the moon’s gravitational pull on the earth impacts moods and actions of insects, birds, crustaceans, and animals and the sun’s pull has certain impacts, what’s to say the the rest of the heavily bodies have an impact on our lives as to the relation of when we’re born and when we live.

I know Matt from Wild & Out. He’s funny as hell. He seems like such a cool chill guy.

And then his special dropped and we realized just how much he hates his female fans and is such a pick me simp for men, that he went out of his way to get their attention by mocking DV victims and not even in a funny way, but in the most basic and tacky way. 😬

It's so funny because as Penn says astrology maybe isn't a thing he exhibits such scorpio characteristics. And I think I saw somewhere he has like 5 major scorpio placements. I agree though - taking astrology as bible can create a victim mentality. Like, someone else invented this system that's really old... so it has collective influence like any other belief system with a lot of time and numbers behind it. But you control your own destiny. You aren't beholden to a chart. My 2 cents
