Like these darts, interesting to see Barneys grip up close too :)

think the grip is misleading, he always shows it like that but if you watch him play he grips the dart quite different. watch the thumb!

good point

It’s hard to demonstrate your exact grip apart from when you’re actually throwing the dart IMO

Barney knows best when it comes to setups! Gotta say this is a great combination he is using! The player development barrels look beautiful and the new soft flex stems are brilliant.

1:49 Coincidence, I missed a 9-darter last week, too. That first dart went straight in the treble 1.

As i tried the softflex stems, my target vision flights were to big for those stems, they were always falling of the stem. Are the Unicorn flights smaller than the target ones??
@tombissett80615 жыл бұрын
henning180 maybe thicker ?

I love the look of them but there is no grip exactly where my thumb goes, Grrrrrrrr Woulda ordered a set and gave them a try. I'm currently using Gary Anderson phase 3. They are quality darts, but I'm thinking of moving back to a slightly wider barrel. Pity.

Ray's argument for the red flights is interesting
@bartvandeperck905 жыл бұрын
I wonder how much of what he says is scripted by Unicorn. Barney thinks a lot about his setup (next to Phil Taylor probably more than anyone) but most things of what he says feel like Unicorn asked him to say that to advertise the new products. F.e. the flexible nylon shafts. As soon as he switched to Target he never played with those type of shafts again. If he really liked them, he would have asked Target to make some as well. Same with the red flights. He promotes bright colors but plays with black flights most of the time. It just feels like this is an advertising talk from Barney for some Unicorn products, not an explanation or argumentation of his own setup. That being said, I love Barney!

Anyone explain why the grip in this video is different than the grip he uses during his televised matches? He has a similar grip to mine so I always took interest in his grip style. His grip stays the same throughout the throw too. This is the typical grip Barney uses in matches.... i60.tinypic.com/o0weg7.jpg Any reason why he's showing such a different grip style in this video?

I think what he did in this video is to give a clearer view of the position of his fingers on the dart
@johngisbourne71974 жыл бұрын
true, grip is different in game. I am always on the hunt for his middle finger tip placement, hard to find evidence.

How do those rings on the shaft work? They go through his red flight?
@trampotrix56068 жыл бұрын
He uses kind of a little machine to make a hole in the flight pushes the ring in the flight and puts that on the shaft (sorry for the crappy english, im dutch y'know
