Matt Stephens The Cafe Ride - Ben Foster Episode | Sigma Sports

Former England goalkeeper Ben Foster takes Matt Stephens on a Cafe Ride down his favourite Warwickshire lanes, where the pair can’t help getting competitive by sprinting for town sign glory.
There are plenty of similarities between these two top athletes, despite their different sporting backgrounds and footballing abilities. Chatting at length about Ben’s impressive footballing career, we learn how it felt to make your England debut, play under Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, and why footballers take dessert to their hotel room.
And the competition continues at Ben’s first football club, where he and Matt partake in a one-on-one penalty shoot-out to determine the champion of the day.

One of the most entertaining and enjoyable hours I’ve watched on KZbin. Matt’s laugh just brightens your day when you hear it and Ben’s enthusiasm for cycling is clear to see. I came int o cycling in my 40s after playing football al my life and it I never thought I would find something to replace the buzz of football but as ben has found, it is a very close feeling. Not familiar with Ben, being an american, but I absolutely loved watching him hang out with Matt. It made me want to go ride and take a break to kick the ball around. He seemed to match Matt’s energy really well, by being introspective and present, while also not taking himself too seriously. Being a Palace fan I didn't know anything about Ben but I do now because Matt doesn't dominate the conversation and allows his interviewee plenty of time to say what they want to . Rather than carrying on gushing about Matt I will just say interviewing other sports people is a great idea and given the other sport I like is motorcycle racing there are many racers that given they too like cycling could be worth interviewing. Look forward to the next one.
