I live in Hawaii and met Matt and his brother at a restaurant/bar. I totally know it's not always appropriate to walk up to "celebrities" when they're eating, but I just wanted to say hello as I've been watching him for years, long before his current fame. He was the kindest guy ever, and his brother even took a photo for us. Matt could have totally told me to screw off and he wouldn't have been wrong, because I was impeding on his dinner. But he was a totally awesome person about it and I'll never forget that.

Matt’s video with Try Guys was actually entertaining and you could tell both that Matt was having a good time and that they actually genuinely tried. They barely talked and were just eating as fast as they could. I’m not a fan of try guys but still loved and sat through that whole video. I recommend people watch that. That is exactly what this collaboration should have been, instead it was just obnoxious elementary school humor. Which I guess yeah, it’s aimed towards kids. But I still don’t see why that’s okay. I’ve been watching Matt for years, because his content is actually entertaining. He always has a good attitude in his videos. But seeing him not having fun and feeling disrespected is so sad. He took his time to come on the show and do his job, and the Rosanne girl just completely ruined it.

Rosanna is someone I seriously admire, her work is just phenomenal. And I also admire Matt, he’s incredible! But geez dude, you couldn’t just try any harder to show some respect for the guy? If he walked in and started throwing shells in a cake, blending on high, sending batter everywhere, and putting too much liquid in a pan before baking. It's really disappointing to see how Rosanna behaved here... I've seen her on several other things (Try Guys videos, her own channel, I think Joey Graceffa did something with her..?) and she's always seemed a little high-strung but very sweet and genuinely happy to be there. I wonder if there's more to the story here and something happened behind the scenes or.. something? Idk. Same thing here. I have a really strong gag reflex and even sometimes just hearing about foods I think are gross can trigger it, let alone actually seeing the food. Can’t eat stuff other people make/offer for the most part, either, for the same reason. I don’t know, it’s weird. Point being, I would do very, very poorly on this show. But of course, I just wouldn’t sign up. I've seen Rosanna in other content and she's always so nice and professional (at least in what makes it in to those videos-- I realize editing can do a lot). I'm wondering if there might have been an element of women feeling like there's a taboo around stuffing their faces on the internet, because they already get hate comments about their looks etc? I feel like at least part of it was probably a director telling them to keep cracking jokes too. Either way, that was hard to watch and Matt deserved better.

I mean, hiding the burger by itself would effectively qualify as cheating at any professional level MLE event, and I can't think of anything more disrespectful to a professional in any sort of competitive field than to just out and out cheat like that and then treat it as a joke.
