Nothing against Ana, Cenk, John, Jimmy and Ben, but I think Jordan might have the toughest job of all the "faces" of TYT. This interview might not be the best example of that, but having to go toe to toe with the unfriendly to the downright dangerous people that are in Cleveland right now, Eeek. I know I'm a coward in public, but, Jordan Chariton, if you are a coward too, you are awesome for overcoming that.

I think you should also consider how hard being a "face" could be. People act way more brazen online, and lets say Cenk for example, gets literally thousands of hate comments every day. Therefor being on the spotlight more than everybody else is a much greater strain on the psyche. Even more so than physically interacting with people.

Jill Stein for President. Vote the Green Party
@firepawl238 жыл бұрын
There is sometimes third parties on out ballots but that differs from state to state. They often must over come an unconstitutionally high number of petition signature requirements to get on the ballot. Until this election in Pennsylvania, because of a law suit by third parties, third parties needed ususally at least around 21000( it can be much higher) signatures while the 2 main parties only need 5000. But those signatures can be challenged so they need about double that to be safe. North carolina this year needs 90000 signatures for third parties as well
@firepawl238 жыл бұрын
No a vote for Jill is a vote for Jill, and if the only reason to vote for a candidate is to stop another because you are scared that is a terrible system. And if everyone voted their conscience than the two party system would end

Hillary lies some of the time, but Trump lies ALL of the time. He claims his net worth is based partly on "how I feel at the time" --- um, no it's supposed to be based on actual facts, which is why he won't release his taxes, since he's not nearly as wealthy as he claims.

+Endless Gaming - Which politician is well known for telling the truth? Certainly neither of the two main Prez candidates can nake that claim.

I certainly don't. But the nomination of Trump ensures that she will be president.
@eatmorenachos8 жыл бұрын
Endless Gaming, Trump does have money, but not nearly as much as he claims. Some estimate it's less than half of what he says. He's not self funded either. He loaned his campaign a big chunk of cash, but also did fundraising. He claims he's going to just write that off as a donation to the campaign, but hasn't actually done so. I doubt he'd be running a scam "university" if he was as rich as he claims---and you know damn well he'd release his tax returns if they proved he was a billionaire.

That's not how politics works. We're not electing an absolutist despot, but a person subject to pressure. If you think both Trump and Hillary are equally 'awful' you're pretty much an idiot- one's voters and donors are racists, nativists, xenophobes, insane religious people, ultra-right win fanatics, the other has, among others, urban liberals, blacks, left-wing activists etc.

"When people thought the earth was flat, they were wrong. When people thought the earth was spherical, they were wrong. But if you think that thinking the earth is spherical is just as wrong as thinking the earth is flat, then your view is wronger than both of them put together." - Isaac Asimov

robert66michel The quote was in response to the notion that both candidates are equally "wrong." The relativity of wrong applies to humans as it does to anything else. One candidate believes Climate Change is a conspiracy, promises to repeal environmental protections, and back out of treaties encouraging international action - this would exponentially hasten warming. One candidate proposes creating a federal system of torture, denying Human rights, the Geneva Convention, and punitively killing civilians for the crime of being related to potential terrorists. One candidate proposes spending billions on an ineffective, needless border wall which will require further billions to maintain, while essential infrastructure is crumbling. One candidate has a history of encouraging violence, demonizing ethnic and religious minorities, and proposes bringing "law and order" when they protest against injustice. I could go on all day...

+cloudofthought when did trump ever denounce climate change? not saying he didnt but a lottttttttttttttttt of people lie. I've heard people say he has said he doesn't support gay rights which was a lie, he didn't support transgender rights, which was a lie. just a lot of lies

*FEW CORRECTIONS: the transition between Yeltsin and Putin was fully legal and transparent*: initially Putin was a deputy to a liberal mayor of Saint-Petersburg, then he has moved to President's administration in 1996, then to the FSB in 1998, and then in 1999 he was assigned to be the prime minister. Once Yelsin has resigned by 2000, Putin has automatically become acting President, and then he has easily won the popular support during elections. Yelsin's own legality is different thing though since by the most reliable accounts of pollsters he has lost elections in 1996, but they were rigged in a way to keep Yeltsin President. Not unlike what has happened in the USA in 2000, though in less convoluted way. Also, The eXile newspaper was not really banned. The issue was with the publications of leader of a Nazional Bolshevik party that was banned in Russia for extremism, the agency was investigating those publications, but did not release any decisions. This has scared off the investors, however.
