I was at the tapings. There was an almost 2 months delay between the first few games to the semis/finals because of scheduling conflict of one contestant, multiple tapings were postponed. The games were fantastic. Matt’s ok 👍. Keep watching.
@acatani17 Жыл бұрын
@@user-yu4xq9xy3d yeah he seemed to be getting in his groove last night. Right at the end. Besides James he has been the longest one away from real jeopardy games. James is just a beast as last night showed and his job is literally to take people down in trivia. Cool to know that information that there was a 2 month delay, who was the one with a schedule conflict? Thanks for not spoiling the whole enchilada. Lol 👍🏻
@billj4525 Жыл бұрын
@@user-yu4xq9xy3d I don't like the 2 month delay in a tournament like that. That can really take players out of their rhythm, and i'm saying that regardless of the results. It just doesn't make sense for a tournament. That's cool that you were at the tapings, sounds fun. Hope you had a good time.

I feel like Matt for sure. He has admitted to been trying to follow James strategy, while also being interested in game theory and proper decisions, just like James. Matt also bet a lot during his first run. He went all in quite a bit. 83,000 would have broken Roger Craigs high game of 77,000 I think, if James had never played.

Andrew and Matt bet big. That dude amy does not.
@LickItAndStickIt Жыл бұрын
Amy was awarded a slew of garbage opponents by the producers. She isn't bad but super overrated. She got destroyed in the masters tourney by players with far fewer wins and less cash. That backs up my point that she faced so many inept opponents.

I really question this amazing performance, no way! This is the most rigged series of episodes of jeopardy I have ever seen. This reminds me of the Jack Barry-hosted game show Twenty-One that premiered on NBC in 1956. From Wikipedia: The 1950s quiz show scandals were a series of scandals involving the producers and contestants of several popular American television quiz shows. These shows' producers secretly gave assistance to certain contestants in order to pre-arrange the shows' outcomes while still attempting to deceive the public into believing that these shows were objective and fair competitions. Producers fixed the shows sometimes with the free consent of contestants and out of various motives: improving ratings, greed, and the lack of regulations prohibiting such conspiracy in game show productions. Sound familiar???

That's part of his strategy. Always answers with "what's" since the rules allow any phrase that has the answer in it. This possibly increases his reaction time.
@askylibrarianoftheoceans4102 Жыл бұрын
@@angry_moose94 Adding on to this - when the rules say "any phrase" they mean ANY phrase - you could say "is it blank?" and it would be acceptable Plus, if the response was already in the form of a question, you don't need to add anything; if the correct response was "what's up, doc?", for example, you don't need to say "what is 'what's up, doc?'"
@TakaComics Жыл бұрын
@@askylibrarianoftheoceans4102 I think the rules say you have to use a question word, and in the case of "What's up, doc," you do have to say the question phrase before the full phrase, because it's like someone asking about what it is. "Hey, what's up doc?" is very different from "Hey, what is 'what's up doc?'"
@TakaComics Жыл бұрын
@@angry_moose94 It also reduces some stress. Sometimes you are still thinking about the answer while buzzing in, and say "what is..." without thinking. I think the rules are meant to deal with this situation and just test the trivia, rather than being too specific about the way they are answering.
