hey Matt I just got a claw machine it's an older model and everything was working fine till yesterday. I pressed the drop claw button and it went down but won't go up and it makes this nasty sound like the motors messed up. do you know what's wrong with it?

Just a note. Don't turn electric motors attached to electronic circuits, it's really bad since turning a mother can create electricity and send it back into the circuit where it might damage components that shouldn't have and electricity flowing backwards through them. That's why you always hold your pc fans when you flow the dust out of your pc to avoid having the motors spin and possibly harming the circuits.

BenRobots Not sure, sometimes you can get them for a few hundred bucks if someone really wants to get rid of one, but generally I see those for anywhere from $500 to $700 for the bigger machines.. good luck!

BenRobots is it a double claw clean sweep or a single player large? Does it work or does it need work. what is its appearance? are their scratches does it have bill validator? theirs so much to add up. but any where from $75-$2500 some places will sell you completely new/refurbished with warranties. Some will refurbish it where they replace even scratched sides or glass where you get a new-old machine.

+MadSativa it's a single player machine without a bill acceptor, in pretty new condition, minor nicks and scratches. Also, they are not giving a warranties but they will give phone support. They are asking $500 I may ask lower. Thanks for the help.

BenRobots Biggest factors are condition and location. On the east coast, a fully working Clean Sweep claw machine typically runs around $500 (especially one with a bill acceptor). Phone support is usually code for we will never answer your call... Ask for $400 and if they say no, ask if they can throw in free plush. I've found in the past when someone is getting rid of a machine, they want to get rid of any left over plushes as well.

dude u did it backwards although it may work it reduces the lifespan of the rope and it almost messed up my motor by doing this method as the rope unwinded going the other way i believe. Go clockwise not counterclockwise when u first tie a knot on the top near the wheel turner.
