Junkie I have a very nice United skill crane and when the string winds to the pressure plate at the top it immediately drops all the way down any thoughts on what might be wrong? thanks

TazGuy hey how's it going? Iam not sure exactly what's going on but I would be certain your string is securely attached to the spool and that it is routed correctly. If it's still crazy it's possible you have a voltage issue, board issue, or gantry issues. Have you watched my "how to repair claw machine video"?

+Vending Junkie Good, however, I would like to see it restrung without the mech being out of the machine. I work on these types all the time and cringe when the string breaks. Never done any fisherman's knot whatsoever. Just a knot to keep the string in the spool and that is all. Plus, it is how I was trained.
