Regarding the overall story: The first part of the story takes almost 120 episodes that has recurring enemies, a tournament arc and multiple training arcs/side missions, but there's always a background mastermind. Regarding the clover: So basically there's 4 main kingdoms in the story: clover, spade, heart and diamond. The show is somewhat of a geopolitical conflict but it is made clearer on the 2nd part of the story. Each kingdom has grimoires for their mages with the respective gravings, so Clover Kingdom Grimoires have a Clover in them, but there's the 4-leaf Clover Grimoire which basically means you're op and loved by mana. Then the 5-leaf Clover (Asta's) is believe to have a devil inside but it's actually a little more complex than that. Regarding the redesign, there's a little training time skip (6 months) and, since Asta doesn't have any magic, his training was mostly to increase physical capabilities and to learn to use his anti-magic in more creative ways henceforth him being jacked, the flying sword, and him constantly switching between his 3 swords that, yes, they all have different abilities. Now, believe it or not, people LOVE the redesigns. In part 1 of the story they always did Asta dirty with the design. I mean, his Black form is cool and all but his overall character design remains basically the same while everyone (specially Yuno) gets cooler. But the new design combined with his Black form (and later transformations) is just so goood

Your connection between Asta and Guts' sword was spot on. The author of black clover was heavily influenced by Berserk, and has even stated that his goal for Black Clover is to make a series that allows younger people to experience a story like Berserk. There's a reason why both Asta and Guts are people cursed by society, are all about persevering, and have sick giant swords, among other things.

Neat tidbit: for OP 13 and the episode it debuted on, Black Clover was trending I believe both KZbin AND Twitter. The last arc just put the show on the map for people and while it had rough beginnings competing with attention in the studio that was also doing Boruto at the same time, it really came into its own by the end and really is something to enjoy!

My second favorite series for a lot of reasons. It's got a bit of a rocky start in terms of pacing. But once it finds a groove it digs in and goes hard. Each arc gets better than the last. The manga just moved to Jump Giga last month, meaning it'll only be releasing new chapters quarterly now, but considering the mangaka has had a lot of personal and familial health crises in the past couple years, it's probably for the best that he not have such a demanding deadline anymore and can focus on finishing the series with the masterful writing he's become known for. And a show where I enjoy both sub and dub in equal measure.

Okay, I'm still a newbie to Black Clover but regarding to your big question for OP 8, the big bads are a group of mages called "The Eye of the Midnight Sun" (correct me if I'm wrong) and in reality the leader of the group is an elf that got reincarnated into the body of the captain of the Golden Dawn, William because many MANY years ago, all of the elves got killed by the humans and Patri, which is the elf that got reincarnated in William's body, decided to take revenge on all humans and his plan is to have elves get reincarnated into the bodies of specific humans to eliminate them all and that starts occuring in version 2 of OP 7 all the way to OP 10 so yeah (hopefully I got it right)

With the warning that my thoughts are based on the full version of the songs I got to say my top 3 are #10 #8 and #3, although 12 is definitely in 4th place. I do recommend finishing watching the show, I greatly enjoyed it but beware of traditional tropes/clichés, there are a few and while I found them to be okay, some people are turned away by them. Also Asta is very loud at the start. He yells less frequently as he matures but he is a loud protag.

Page numbers are episode numbers, nothing to do with the Manga. Yes, Asta does get progressively more jacked as the show goes on. There is a minor time skip before the 13th opening so the change is much more noticeable. The main location for the show is the Clover Kingdom, which is bordered on 3 sides by the Heart, Spade, and Diamond Kingdoms. In this world each person who has reached a certain age gathers once a year to receive their Grimoires, magic books that enable and amplify their magical abilities. The symbol of the kingdom generally appears on the cover of each Grimoire, though there is some variation, with Clover Kingdom generally being 3 leafed, but occasional 4 leaf Grimoires said to be extremely lucky. Our MC Asta ends up getting a 5 Leaf Grimoire... that's a thing. Before receiving their Grimoire children are able to use only basic magic, generally low power and complexity, often showing affinity for a certain element or type of magic. When they receive their Grimoire it heavily amplifies their magic, enables more complex spells, and focus them almost exclusively on one element or type of magic, though these types can be well beyond the types available without a Grimoire, such as teleportation magic and other exotic elements. Each Grimoire starts with the pages blank and over time they unlock or develop new spells the formulas for which then appear on those pages. The bigger your Grimoire the greater your maximum potential, at least in theory, and can be an object of status or bullying at the extremes of variation. Notably, only the person chosen by the Grimoire as a child can wield it and the magic it contains.

1:50 why would that be a problem? It's a reaction. That's the point. People get upset at the weirdest things. 2:09 😂squad hun, magic knights squad. But fair. 4:55 Sounds fire! 8:29 fair but it's more like mini-arcs & it's still not exact. they just sort of all connect too so it's not exactly something you can pinpoint as a season. You get a time skip, a couple years of break and we're supposed to get the rest of the series soon now that the movie is out & the manga is wrapping up sense the writer is having some problems at home & is trying to wrap it up & rest. There's a controversy in the story right now that i disagree with most fans on & love but nost of us i think can agree it just keeps getting better & i personally didn't notice it feeling rushed. I only found out looking for videos that praise it & accidentally finding complaints and videos talking about it coming to an end. 8:35 yes but...stylistic choices can be a little rough. There are definitely fights that will probably go down in history for a while and some seriously badass moments even when it's not a fight. (Luck, Magna, and Asta to Finral to those wondering what im talking about w/out spoiling anything) there's an episode of experimental animation that makes some people rage quit as if you don't know about it looks like the animation budget plummeted out of nowhere. It can look cool & they kept it for some moments but i hate they chose such an important moment & fight ti experiment with it. There were definitely places it would have made more sense & worked better but they clearly knew what to do with it afterwards so that helps. It actually can work & look badass in fightscenes but not the whole screen & they seemed to pick up on that. A lot of people really like it instead though so you might.
