Great example, because you can utilize the slope to find other metrics, or even define the current as a function of velocity.

I must be missing something. Seems like I peak would still be increasing as the loop continues across the B field until the area exiting the B field is larger than the area entering the B field.

In this example the loop never exits the B field. The right side of the picture, where the B field is, continues forever. We know that once the loop starts moving in constant B field, there is no change in flux hence no current. Namely, the current had to return to zero. Cheers, Dr. A
