The details of daily life that you film are fascinating. The development where your grandmother lives is also very interesting. Is it far away from the city center, or are you walking into the center on some of your excursions? Or is it basically self contained regarding shops and services?
@MattandJulia3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Chris! The area where my Gran lives is about a 15 minute bus trip (or 45 minute walk) from the centre. We actually walked into the centre when filming the "Stereotype of Siberia" video, it was a lovely walk but because we kept stopping to film it took a lot longer than 45 mins and we got very chilly 😀 There are lots of shops and services around my Grans area, and all of the other parts of the city actually, that's one really interesting thing with Russian cities, you have the centre which is usually a beautiful part to walk in and has restaurants etc but people could near enough live perfectly easily without the need to visit the city center all the time 😊 X

This was a great video, you both get on so smashingly, are you that well adjusted off camera as well? Makes me want to move to Siberia, who would ever think an American would say that? Bakeries on every corner, what a bonus! Also the woman working at the Pancake place, that's more like an Art than Fast Food, the way she made up the stuff and uses the utensils was like someone doing a sculpture. Very cool, thank you.

@@Светлана-ф4с8н Well those pancakes look completely wonderful and I can't imagine how great your children must eat and enjoy the homemade food. Thanks for the reply.

Maybe describe the taste more of siberian foods. Mostly you say what it is and that it’s good. :) but more taste description would be awesome

From the States, thanks for sharing your lives with us. Very interesting and good to see that we’re all very common with each other. I doubt that it will be during my lifetime, but I truly hope one day that our countries can be better friends with each other. I doubt it’s going to happen while Cold War era politicians are still running the show.

Just stumbled on you channel, very interesting and great viewing for any one with an interest in how the rest of the world works. My own belief, is if we all understand each other’s culture a little, we are on our way to a more harmonious world. Cheers from Australia.🇦🇺

The employeemaking the pancakes showing real cooking skills, not just throwing frozen foods into a fryer.....PS these are more like crepes right? Savory totally works too almost like a burrito. Also it looks SO COLD there!

I visited a muldovian cafe on a work trip and had a lovely soup with bread, sliced ham, lettuce and raw onion salad, i never enjoy such a simple lunch in my life and like to plan a return. for a place that is not considered nice, every single person was extremly kind and i must see them again soon, i love you all in Moldova thanks for welcoming me and making 'the poorest country' the most 'pleasant' country.

Always asked to myself how people could live in such cold places . I have such a super lifestyle under the tropics that even when I am planning to go abroad I always checked this is at the warmest time of the year .

Very interesting fast food joint. One thing however, I'm fairly sure those are meant to be enjoyed hot, fresh from the griddle. It's amazing they still tasted ok after being subjected outside to -40C!
