Heard this at summer camp in 2012. The energy on the dance floor was unmatched. Everyone was young, no responsibilities and just living life to the fullest. This song perfectly captured that moment of being young and unstoppable. No phones were on that dance floor. Everyone was just enjoying that moment. Years went by and I had no idea what this song was called. Then, this week, I found it. From that iconic piano intro, I immediately knew this was the song. Makes me feel like I’m still at summer camp when I hear it.

And with this song playing, there is no way I can feel sad. This is literally the epitome of happy songs for me. When I was a high school senior, this boy and I would run around our neighborhood playing Matt and Kim and just acting crazy and having fun doing nothing. It's been nearly five years since then and we're coming up on our fourth year anniversary and this song still holds the same meaning for me

My best friend showed me this song. She said it reminded her of the time we (and a few other friends) drove to the shore in the middle of the night (an hour and a half drive) and went skinny dipping in the ocean. No one knew where we were or how to reach us. She died in 2015. I have a whole playlist of songs that remind me of her, a lot of them sad because she was sad. But this is the only one that makes me happy cry. She was so excited to show me this song. Rip Brooke

When a song pops into your head that you haven't heard in so long ; listen to it. I always try to implement this type of nostalgic music into my daughters life so they could feel how I did when i was younger.

I was 15 when this came out. I had this on my iPod hahah I remember going by train to Hollywood to my weekend acting classes. And then taking the bus to Santa Monica to shop and get on the pier rides. This song is so nostalgic and special to me. 🥺 I’m 27 now and still love this

We cut the legs off of our pants Throw our shoes into the ocean Lay back and wave through the daylight Sit back and wave through the daylight Slip and slide on subway grates These shoes are poor mans ice skates Fall through like change in the daylight Fall through like change in the daylight I miss yellow lines in my roads Some color on monochrome Maybe I'll paint them in myself Maybe I'll paint them in myself These sidewalks liquid then stone Building walls and an old pay phone It rings like all through the daylight It rings like all through the daylight And in the daylight we can hitchhike to Maine I hope that someday I'll see without these frames And in the daylight I don't pick up my phone 'Cause in the daylight anywhere feels like home I have five clocks in my life And only one has the time right I'll just unplug it for today Ill just unplug it for today Open hydrant rolled down windows This car might make a good old boat And float down grand street in daylight And float down grand street in daylight And with just half of a sunburn New yellow lines that I earned Step back and here comes the night time Step back and here comes the night time And in the daylight we can hitchhike to Maine I hope that someday I'll see without these frames And in the daylight I don't pick up my phone 'Cause in the daylight anywhere feels like home

My mom, brother and I went to their concert in Mississippi one year, maybe 2010? Cameras had just come out and they played this song, watching jumping around on stage was so amazing. They hopped to eachother's stools and made the show quite entertaining. Still one of my favorite concerts.

I remember hearing this on Sims 3 when your character turns on the radio, absolute banger but I thought it wasn’t an actual real song, I now found it thanks to the intro on Bad Grandpa 👍

I went to a young life camp last summer and after every meal they would play this song while we are leaving the building to go to an event and it got everyone so hyped and excited. Hearing this song just takes me back to then. Man I really miss those days. Wish I could go back but life’s crazy now and camp was canceled. I hope one day I get to go again.

DAYLIGHT DELIVERY. My husband and I pedaled our way to the post office on our bright yellow tandem beach cruiser today to ship off more CDs that were purchased online (thank you to all everyone who has bought our music!) and on the way back, we met a guy who bought a couple of our songs on Apple Music and said we reminded him of Matt & Kim. (!!!) My husband, Anthony, wasn’t sure who that was but I took it as a strong compliment. Back home, we watched this music video, during which I had a realization. When the video ended, I shared with Anthony that, when I used to watch that music video over and over in college, I dreamed that one day I could have a marriage like that - where my husband and I would make music together, be silly and creative together, and have so much fun simply being together. And now, here we are. God is faithful. ❤️
