@@jakestakes9075 I would worry about him being such a wildcard. At the Raiders, Tennessee and USC he rubbed the top brass the wrong way plus was a failure. At Bama he potentially cost them a natty and really crapped the bed with people he shouldn’t. The whole time at Ole Miss he’s acted like he wants to leave. Ole Miss seems like the best ceiling for him. A program that is just outside of a powerhouse that periodically can stand a chance to contend for a natty every decade or 2 . Florida is a different beast. You have to be a top dog every year or almost every year. He’d crap the bed at Florida just like he has before after a few years.

@@jakestakes9075 I wanted Kiffin so badly when we hired Napier. I think if we fired Napier last year we could have gotten Kiffin. But Kiffin's really feathered his nest at Ole Miss, would he be willing to start over? Unless Jaxon Dart gets hurt, I can't imagine Ole Miss not making the playoffs. This would put off our hiring process. It's possible the same could be for Tenn, what do you think of Shane Beamer? With his back-up QB, he came close to beating LSU. His team did upset UK.

I mean…I think that would be the smart move. I thought Auburn was crazy for not doing whatever it took to get Kiffin to come there. Instead, they hired Hugh Freeze, which I believe was a mistake. I also thought Alabama should have hired Kiffin, but I’m not upset with the Deboer hire so far. Hopefully, Florida doesn’t make the same mistake as Auburn. Another option is to lure Urban Meyer back by offering him a blank check. In my opinion, Urban is probably the next best modern-day coach after Saban. If he had continued coaching in college, he might be regarded as the best now that Saban has retired; however, that honor currently goes to Kirby Smart. My only concern with Urban is his familiarity with NIL, as he stopped coaching before it took off. Beyond those two, the best options would involve trying to lure in a successful pro coach, but the outcomes of those situations can be unpredictable since college and the NFL are different in a lot of ways.

The minute that Dan Mullen was fired, I was excited because we were going to hire Lane Kiffin. Nope, our idiot AD hired Billy Napier. He didn't have appropriate experience and definitely didn't have the temperament. I've not been excited by this team in three years. We need to fire Napier but who can we get? I don't think Kiffin will leave Ole Miss. Beamer coached well against LSU and if not for his QB getting injured, who knows what would have happened. Mike Griffith likes Jamey Chadwell, but should we take advice from Mr. DawgNation?
