You should make a video talking about all the controversy and tragedy involved with the 2012-13 Notre Dame team that went to the national championship. There are so many crazy things that have happened with the players on that team. Just a few are the suicides of the Atkinson twins, the suicide of Louis nix, cierre wood murder, greg Bryant death and not to mention the whole manti teo saga. I also bet im missing a few.

MattBeSittingDownToPee, Isaiah Bond started out this year fine at Texas. He was the go-to wide receiver in the first half of the season, but he had a succession of ankle injuries and a case of stone hands in the second half of the season. Matthew Golden became the go-to receiver in the second half of the year at Texas because Sarkesian and Ewers lost trust in Bond.

Matty, I think this video is unfair to both Isiah Bond and Amari Nieblack. First, Isiah Bond was playing extremely well for our team. When he was healthy in the beginning and middle part of the season he was ballin out. Unfortunately, he got hurt beginning with our game with Oklahoma, hurt again the following week against Georgia with a bad high ankle sprain that he would reinjure yet again against Georgia when we faced them a second time. Him constantly reinjuring himself was the issue. He tried to work his way through it multiple times but the injury hampered him significantly. Just bad luck in his case that’s all. Hopefully, Isiah Bond fully heals from his injury over the next few months and has a great Combine showing to go on to be the high draft pick we expect him to be due to his incredible speed and talent. With Amari he was fine as well in the locker room. Talented receiving TE. His problem was simply that he isn’t a good blocking tight end. The tight end is a crucial figure in Sark’s offense but to get playing time you need to be both a talented receiving tight end and a great blocking tight end on running plays and for QB protection. Amari just wasn’t talented enough to beat out Gunner Helm and Juan Davis who excelled at both receiving and blocking. On top of that, he was going to get passed over yet again this Spring by other talented TEs on our roster who also excelled at both receiving and blocking such as Jordan Washington, the next star TE at Texas. Again, Amari did nothing wrong here. He just found himself competing against other highly rated recruits at this position that were just better than him so he was sliding down the depth chart. Hopefully, he finds a situation where he can be the goto guy at TE with less competition to beat out so he plays more like maybe at Texas A&M perhaps.

Sark is a Nick Saban disciple so he follows the same script that Georgia and Alabama have been following for years - stack each position with 4 and and 5 star talent so even if guys go on to the NFL or transfer out or get hurt, there’s still plenty of talent available to step up. With four straight Top 5 recruiting classes we’re starting to approach the kind of talent level that Georgia and Bama are famous for. So it’s not surprising when guys transfer in or join the team and slip down the depth chart like Johntay Cook, Hall and now Nieblack. They join the team thinking they’re going to shine only to find out there’s lots of other guys on the team that are just as talented as they are and if they can’t beat them out they will fall down the depth chart.

@joesmith-g4d11 күн бұрын
@@hinglemccringleberry7837 Completely agree. However, it is a matter of scope and organization. Bama put in a machine many many years ago. Also controlled the SEC in Bham to help cover. If you grew up in Alabama, they were very proud of their semi-pro team in the 1970's. They were very arrogant about it and it was in the open. I am sure other teams have skirted the rules too. With Alabama, it was VERY organized and still is. NIL simply allowed everyone to do what Bama has done for many years. Saban benefitted greatly. The machine had slowed down a bit prior to Saban mainly due to not having a coach who could actually make use of it. When Saban was hired, the machine cranked back up to 1970's level. He is a great coach but he also had great $upport. Again, they hate NIL because it equalized everyone.

Heres what some of you dont realize... Nick Saban was able to recruit these problematic players and turn them around. If they had off the field issues, they somehow got the players to shape up before they arrived in Tuscaloosa, and some took some development after arriving. With a 5 star athlete comes 5 star problems. A lot of coaches can not do that, and refrom these players like he did. Nick changed lives. If deboer wants to be great, he needs to learn how to touch a 5 star kids heart and change their life, by getting them to their ultimate goal of the NFL if they desire.
