I received my 2022 Outlander Exceed Tourer on the launch date (1/11/21) and couldn’t be happier. I’m an empty nester therefore only wanted something that suited my lifestyle which is comfort for me and my gorgeous Aussie Shepherd.

Mitsubishi in the Philippines and Southeast Asia is actually in the top 3. The Montero/Pajero Sport sold more than sedans and then the Xpander and Xpander Cross sold well. The Mirage is the favorite of the ride sharing cars.

@@109sssss it’s great on highway and super comfortable..you will not feel bumps or pot holes unless the road condition isn’t great..I put unleaded 98 and it gives so much power to the vehicle..also did a bit of drive in gravel road and that wasn’t bad either..

What a great review. I looked out the outlander in 2018 when I got a Subaru Outback which was the same price and so bad (as a long time owner of many Mitsubishi Magnas and currently an Evo X. The 2018 outlander interior was quite literally the same as my 2009 Evo X). This looks like an actual competitor! Love the built in back sun screen for kids.

I have to admit, this was best review ive ever seen lol. I loved it. I have the outlander and just stumbled across this from the forums. Again awesome video man. You nailed every point, including the slowish engine. It definitely isnt fastest, however ive had no issue overtaking anyone. To be honest, unless you want a speed ticket, then get a mustang or something. Ive had this car at 180kph. Top limit here is 110. So it will do what you need it to do in 99 percent of scenarios.

A new Matt power unit= sauce power. 😀 This outlander is a great step up for Mitsi. Just wish they could have included a diesel as well as a 2.0 turbo , this SUV could be so much effortless. And the car companies need to improve that approach angle to atleast 20° for the SUVs.

@MattBrandCars Should I get it or wait for the PHEV model. Still so confused. What do you think of real-world fuel consumption? Most of the other reviewers did not give more than 8 out of 10 overall, Isn't deserve more than that? I felt that cars with similar features and quality in other brands e.g. Mazda, Toyota, VW etc, will be $10K-$15K more expensive. It seems Outlander 2022 value for money + 10 years warranty.

G'Day, As you have tested both and taking price and warranty out of the equation, on overall pure performance and luxury if you had to decide between the non electric top of the line Mitsubishi Outlander and the non electric top of the line Nissan X-Trail, which would you choose and why? I currently have to make this decision and can't quite make up my mind. Thanks heaps in advance...

Thanks for your review. I especially appreciated the focus on front ground clearance. Do the middle seat bottom cushions still fold up and forward before lowering the seat backs to provide a flat cargo space? Can't help thinking that you may have been a little harsh on the ASX. If it works, is reliable, comfortable and has a great price, who cares if the vehicle is eleven years old with several styling revisions. The ten year warranty tends to speak for itself.

The only thing dying is the relevance of automotive journalists and car "reviewers" The "old" platforms were proven well beyond reliable with excellent value for money. This is just a Nissan X Trail with a Mitsubishi grille. This car won't save Mitsubishi because it doesn't need saving. But it will kill the Outlander name Not offering a car with a manual transmission and a known lemon CVT is an insult to their customers

I have been wondering what the hell happened to the infamous company that made the evo then I drove an early 2010 outlander as a rental last month on a trip to Colorado - annnnd it sucked. Bad. The interior felt cheap, the driving was crap, you’re right it’s like they didn’t give a rats ass about quality or anything. I didn’t feel so bad about Mitsubishi closing their dealership near me, then I saw this car. It’s like they finally got tired of Honda and Toyota taking their lunch money and finally started working out. Great job Mitsubishi. I’m waiting for the plugin hybrid, so don’t let me down.

Matt thanks for your review, from what i can asatain the last car that i drove that was unresponsive was Hiolden Cruze 2009 model and man that was gutless. see the test here is not one peoson in the SUV but a loaded up SUV like on a Saturday night Ubering from the RSL. with 2 Kidadults in the back, 3 Adults in the 2nd row and the person who summons the uber. in the passenger now lets test out the engine and its 100km then. Also a good test is a fully loaded Outlander 2022 going up the steepest hill i wonder what will happen? interesting? . In terms of ride height i just wished the second row was sunck down as im thinking the rear vision of the vehicle when loaded would be bad. I don't like the infotainment system tacky, i don't like the gear stick a toy i don't like glovebox that cainnot fit the Service manual the centrebox looks like it can only fit CDs? wow how 2000s of it I really think this was a Gamble for the MNR Aliance but im afraid it wont payoff.

@TysonBrady3 жыл бұрын
I've driven it, wasn't an issue. No point in power which makes sweet fk all difference on typically congested roads throughout Australia. Average speed on most metropolitan trips is around 40kmph.
@malhaar7073 жыл бұрын
@@TysonBrady Not sure, why most of the Car reviews are sceptical about the engine. I have driven it, and as you know considering Australia roads, it is more than enough. Anyone who is a fan of Mitsubishi Motors realizes this is just another step in diluting the brand. The identity is now gone. Nissan is positioning Mitsubishi for an eventual brand phase out that will be easier to warranty at Nissan dealers. These and future "Mitsubishi" vehicles are underpowered Nissan engine, and CVT based toys. Every last thing from the AWD to the Radio is Nissan. The reviewers are lost in a fog.
