I’ve been watching your channel for a while now and I really enjoy your content. This is a blog is a year old. And it’s still as accurate and as relevant today as it was a year ago. I’m actually researching the bc-dc charger at the moment. I have 3 x 108ah BlueNova lithium batteries in my trailer. With 600w of solar running through a Victron 2000w Multiplus 2 with additional Victron MPPT. Equivalent to 4.2Kw in battery life. I shouldn’t have any issues charging- but I want to cover all my bases. My point is, I spent a small fortune on lithium batteries, and while expensive- they are life changing. Once you buy one. You’ll wonder why you didn’t sooner. Keep on Truckin’ ✌🏻

Thanks for the video There are AC to DC charger that charge the battery with 7.5Amps such as Benton and i have Victrone that charges it up to 15Amps and i also have Ctek MXS 25 that charges at 25Amps For the DC to DC chargers there are also Intervolt that charges at 25Amps, and Nationla Luna has one that outputs 40 Amps, i would say 25Amps is the recommended for the health of batteries The battery mode on National Luna DC to DC charger Li-ion : Lithium Phosphate battery Wet : Wet battery Ca* : Calcium AGM/Gel : Sealed lead acid batteries

Hi Matt, great to see your build videos. Have you looked at the WRND DC to DC charger. I have one in my HiLux D4D. It is compact and does the job very well.

12V needs a hell of an area to be efficent, just look at starting cables. In my youth I tried to use common electrical wire to jumpstart a friends car, no success. After that I bought a set of starting cables.

Why lead/acid battery? There are more types out there, that are more efficency, some more dangerous than others, how did You come down to that decision?

Lithium is way more expensive, and a 105ah lead acid battery gives me more than I need.

Hi Matt, hope you're well. quick question - the National Luna DC-DC remote screen, the point where it plugs in on the charger, does it have 5 or 6 pins? I recently bought the screen but it's not turning on and noticed mine only has 5 pins

Can get a Bluetooth really cheap battery monitor, 40 bucks here. Bluetooth straight to your phone.

Could work well for some. I don't like using my phone when camping and a screen mounted in a fixed place won't get lost and is easy to find and see
