I got the Pat McGrath Skin Fetish foundation recently and I have NEVER used anything like it in my life. It’s amazing and I’ll never go back. I’m feeling validated that the Lipstick Lesbians agree!

I’m defo trying the Shiseido foundation, when u mentioned about sweating, I was sold. I have battled cancer 4x, and due to treatments I was left infertile and put into menopause, although I take hrt, I do sweat a lot especially in the summer, it’s very hard to find a foundation that is sweat proof. Those hot flushes are not great. You have made me fall back in love with makeup. I fell out of love with it as I was watching beauty content creators, my makeup never looked like theirs and I thought it was me doing something wrong, even though I’ve wore makeup since I was 13, I realised it was the filters and lights. I fell out of love with it in 2020, but ur videos have me excited about makeup again….massive thank you 💖

They are both great and I really love my Shiseido! Really depends on what you are looking for! And I always like to remind folks that yes, there is one winner, but there will always be qualities and nuances which could benefit you from the other products as well!

I bought the PM foundation when it first launched and over time it got forgotten about if I'm being honest. Only recently did i pull out back out and while i think i hang the wrong shade post covid paleness, it is a great one. The Lisa Eldridge foundation is another great one!!

I am so oily and the Pat Mcgrath could not hold a candle to my Lancôme or Estée Lauder Double Wear. I’m so oily that at the end of the day my natural oils are a make up remover and all I have to do is wipe my face with a face towel and it removes most of my makeup.

Combo skin with fine lines and texture my top 3 would be : Lancome, L'Oreal and 1st Double Wear( longwearing, stay the same all day , i don't need extra powder to set them down, never set into my fine lines, never give me extra texture, look absolutely flawless). Nars Soft Matte i recommend using your fingers applying it ( yes you've read correct) but at the end of day is too powdery, Fit Me is beautiful but on me lasts like this for 5-6 hours then start to set in my fine lines and looks horrible after 8 hours, i love the Shyseido Radiant version very beautiful but again after 5-6 hours starts setting into my fine lines and disappears arround my chin area even i don't have this problem with other foundations, i never tested the other ones 😊

NARS Soft Matte I thought would be amazing for my oily, acne-prone skin… but it separated throughout the day :c I’m using the Lancôme one and it’s pretty good. I’ll have to try the Pat one now!

I love the initial dry down of the shiseido, but I've found that it separates throughout the day on my oily skin. I apply it with a damp sponge. Am I doing something wrong? How can I make sure it doesn't break down?

Omg this makes me feel so great about the purchases I’ve made. I have been really working towards finding the best foundations that work for my skin and what I want out of it and I’ve done exactly as you would have and done it RIGHT!! I absolutely adore my Sheseido self refresh and I stg I’m not lying but, I just put in an order for the Pat McGrath after looking at the ingredients and thought it would be a more natural finish on my skin!! Thank you so much!! I am actually really proud of myself for this. For years I hated foundation because I just always bought things that didn’t work for me but didn’t know how to do any better. I had tons of bottles of different kinds just sitting or thrown out because of it. So yay!

Great, now I have to go buy PM and Shiseido😂😂😂My current top 3 are Lancome Teint Idole, Estee Lauder Double Wear, and Nars Skin Reflecting. I'm early 40's with oily skin, and I like a softer matte with a light feel. I like to use the Milk matte primer on my t zone, and the Elf sticky primer on the perimeter of my face. I always get a solid 8-12 hours.

I love the Dior one , only problem is it dries too quickly. I love fragrance in my products and I think it’s not fragrant enough. It’s transfer proof. Sheshido does transfer a lot because of the resetting formula

I only 1:15 mins in and stopped to comment that hoping Shiseido sync refresh wins - I have oily skin that just won’t agree with the best promises of any brand that produces a matte foundation and Synchro skin refresh wins hands down!!

This was great! I've been looking for a new foundation, but my skin is more on the dry side, so I'm afraid of matte foundations. I was using Haus Labs Foundation, but I find that it never fully sets and will come off during the day. Could you do a video like this for foundations for dryer skin types? Thanks!
