Aunt Carrie's. for Clam Cakes and Chowda. There was no Iggy's when I was a kid. Used to go to Rocky Point, Shore Diner Hall too. When I worked at the Newport Shipyard, I used to have lunch at Mac's Clam Shack. A quart of Fried clams and a beer! I guess Mac's is gone now. No clam strips. REAL whole clams with bellies, only way to eat them!

I am a native Rhode Ilander and i use chicken in my clam cakes. I am one of those RI odd balls who hate fish food so i created my own clam cake recipe. Substituting chicken instead of clams. Dipped in a home made country creamy gravy is mmmm good!

I'll have to try Aunt Carrie's I've only had Iggys and Ye Olde English and Serio's which are both in Woonsocket RI.

im an aunt carries too. chowder, either white or clear. but the last clear i got from iggys wasnt good.....im from central massachusetts...
