Mattel Hammond Collection Dr. Ian Malcolm & Velociraptor Review!! Jurassic Park | Jurassic World

The Hammond Collection already feels like a more complete line than the Amber Collection every did, and it’s just starting!! Ian is a fun figure. Love the option to change his outfit. However huge missed opportunity not including double jointed elbows. The #velociraptor is fantastic. Basically a mini Amber Collection minus wrist articulation. Both are great additions to your #jurassicworld #jurassicpark #dinosaur collections!!

I hope that the Hammond Collection version of Dr Grant finally comes with his fossilized raptor claw, because if they put him back with another flare it will be a tremendous disappointment.

A 1/18 raptor claw would be teeny tiny. Lost in a day.

An accurate claw would be tiny but a Jurassic world scale claw would just be taking the claw off a 1/18 scale raptor.

Wow these are amazing. I would buy every version of that Raptor as long as they retool the heads for the other movies. Now if Mattel can just get their act together and release these in Europe.

These Hammond Collection and a few Legacy Collection sets are mostly what I want from Mattel's figures. Already got my Roland, just waiting for my Kitchen set with Lex and Tim and the Hammond Collection Ian, Raptor and Baryonyx orders to arrive.

A small correction but the Vintage Collection doesn't use double jointed legs nor arms, they do a thing called a cut on the sculpt so the arm can go above 90°. These Mattel figures have a long way to come before they're even comparable to TVC's, hell Ian has barely any head articulation, crappy side to side hand hinges instead of the much better up and down hinges.

Looking at the comparison with the HC raptor and the Amber one, I honestly wonder if one of these days, a future company will come out and start making their own hyper articulated Jurassic Park/World figures, more detailed, more poseable and just overall better than either of the ones Mattel has given us so far. And I especially had it in mind if they’d do it in a different scale, like somewhere in between the HC and AC scales. Just imagine…

Yeah agreed. Stop motion is the reason I bought an amber collection tiger velociraptor. Its very time consuming but worth it. The 5 inch star wars galaxy of adventures figures are also well articulated that allows for some really good fluid movements for stop motion👍

I hate that Ian has the diaper hips that the cheaper figures have. I wish they would have shrunk down of the Amber did it. I love that we're getting multiple hands with a domestic 3.75 line

The "Hammond Collection Velociraptor" would be even better with especially the smaller and shorter feet than the head. I so wish Mattel would also do in the Hammond Collection : -Tyrannosaurus Rex from Jurassic World miniurl.be/r-3cyx (even if it will be the same size as the "Super Colossal Tyrannosaurus Rex") as long as the proportions are respected : especially the size of the feet in relation to the rest of the body, the tail measuring half the total length of the body, and the exact location of the scars : those on the right, on the muzzle, and those on the left especially at the level of the shoulder; -JP3 Raptor female miniurl.be/r-2x10 based directly on the AMBER COLLECTION JP3 male Velociraptor where it is enough to change the colors and remove the thorns or the proto feathers located on the head, and especially the smaller and shorter feet than the head; -Pyroraptor with specially the smaller and shorter feet than the head, and the tail as long as half the body.

The Hammond collection is orientated towards adult collectors, replacing the amber collection. The joints of these figures make them too fragile to be common kids toys.

@@AtrociCollector because you clearly have no idea how child safety laws work. There's a dedicated section for adult collectors at target. The toy aisle is literally for children. If it's in the toy aisle, it has to confirm to child safety standards ... Maybe get less offended you're collecting children's toys

This isn't stuff hidden away where you need to guess why decisions are made ... Literally designed for children but told us they for "serious collectors" ... They want their cake and eat it too
