I have always said the Nelons have always had the best sopranos in southern gospel and there's no doubt in my mind that Amber was absolutely was one of the best.. Rest in complete peace kelly, jason, and Amber..

It's crazy how Rex always looked out for some of the best sopranos, and how his own grand daughter was a best fit for it!!

@@neerajemanuel7771 absolutely Amber was probably the BEST soprano the Nelons ever had and that's saying a lot because all the rest of them were incredible too.

God does not waste opportunities. When Kelly, Jason, and Amber passed on, God has a purpose. 😅This song, There's a hole in the heart( of America) I believe is that purpose. I've not heard this song yet nor do I have any connection with it except by being a Christian. I can't wait to hear this anointed work of God, passed to us through , Bill Gaither, Larry Gatlin, and the Nelons. May it touch this nation's heart.

I first heard Amber at about the age of 13 when Bill did the Christmas in the country video. I’ve been traveling and singing since I was 18 months old, and only two singers in the whole world have ever made me just stop in my tracks and go, just please continue to sing, Amber was one of those. I bought every project I could get my hands on which at that point were children’s recordings. I’ve been blessed enough to get to know a lot of people in the southern Gospel music, industry, and in our 20s thanks to being good friends with Madison Easter, Amber and I became friends. She was always there to give me really good unfiltered advice, to sing with me even just at the product table, and to genuinely be a really good friend. One of the biggest regrets of my life is that we never recorded together, though I’ll never forget the promise Well over a decade ago, tell me the time and place and I will be there. That’s what she said and that’s one thing I wish we had done. Kelly and Jason went out of their way when I was even younger than that to be extremely nice to me, taking up a lot of time and inviting me to visit them in Atlanta. In the last few years of going to homecoming shows, Autumn has become a good friend of mine as well. Just a few months ago I got a giant leak in my roof. Insurance said that they were on their way to look at it, but I was told by the first roofing company that no one was going to pay for it. Again because of the gospel music community I got a message from Kelly’s brother Todd, who I did not know personally. he lives about 2 1/2 hours from me and he drove to my house multiple times in the course of a couple of weeks sometimes literally only staying for about 3 to 5 minutes to make sure that all the damage was highlighted for the adjuster. He made it very clear that even if the adjuster did not cover it, and even if we had to figure out another way to pay the costs that I could not, he would not stop and he would not stop checking and he would not stop making things happen until I was OK and he did not.the roof did not cost me a dime. That is the kind of people they were and they are. I love them dearly and my heart is broken.
