These 30 shot challenges are a great idea and even better when you get to see a Tour Pro taking them on. Interesting to hear the chat between G'mac and Ken Comboy Jnr. I remember Ken being a good single figure golfer when we were juniors at Lymm GC. You should get yourself there for a 30 shot challenge with Andrew Murray!

Great video! Graeme was very enjoyable to watch and listen to. I played in one Pro-Am event and can attest to nerves due to both the spectators and the pro you're playing with. Looking forward to seeing Graeme attempt this again in a more casual setting. Thanks for sharing!

My golfing claim to “fame” is being hammered 7 and 6 by a 14 year old Graeme when I was 18. Fred Daly trophy Royal Portrush vs Warrenpoint (home of Roman Rafferty). It was obvious from the first hole that he was different class.

When i became the first time club champion in my old traditional golfclub, there were maybes more than 100 spectators around my final flight. Tha family and friends of all the competitors walked with the players watching the game while hoping for a good drink /beers after the round. I was so nervous, i never will forget this moments. When i came to the 18th tee, a par 5, all i tried to do was placing a iron on the fairway, placing a wedge to the 100 marker and then hitting the green making t putts and ready - but i shanked the 4 iron nearly out of bounds, hacked under a tree a low 5 iron 100 to the green but in thick rough and had then a shot carrying 90 the water. With all my power i shot a full wedge maybe 2 feet to the hole and the crowd round the green made party! With a one hand tour greeting, proud of me i walked to my final put, for my tap in - but i was so nervous that my arm didn't by far do what you wanted, i missed the hole clear and had a 10 feet (!) put back.... This i had to hole, my competitor made birdie - and from one moment to the next i forgot all the people around and i was only focused on the put. With tempo and braveness i holed the put and became champion! What a day for me! 4 rounds stroke play in two days and then this 72nd hole. We went all to the club restaurant and had a party, payed by the winner. This first win i will never forget in my life! Spectators make the game so different to a normal round of golf! If you come in a flow, the people help you i think, but if it's not your day you have a huge problem... Anyway, I never thought you would be so nervous Matt. There is no reason for, you are a very good player and you knows that. All you need is a touch confidence, i think you lost yours in the last years. Andere in the pastor you hoked someone chipshots or long puts - and that beings you back in the game, in your zone. Stick your game and di not think always about new clubs, shafts, putters - at the end, and you know this, it's alone in you! I expect that you still will tee off on the nine hole doing this 30 shot challange. All the best for you! Cheers

Funny how you have an idea of what sportsman will be like in your head. Thought G-Mac would be a bit stand offish and miserable but he seems like a top fella, taking the time to help the amateurs (I'm including you today Matt). Great video, really enjoyed it. Did you play on beyond the 8 holes, do the full 18? While the 30 stroke challenge is brilliant, feel we missed out a bit of seeing a top pro if you played it all out.
