We have mobs of people running around attacking others, going to judges houses, looting, rioting, home invasions are up, robberies are up, murder is up and cops are straight up telling you that you aren't safe. They first defunded the police which was a bad idea now these same people are trying to do yet another bad idea. How about we expect our cops to do a better job? How many gang members are out there right now with felonies or stolen weapons? Why aren't they going after them? Or the people who's made threats online and are gun owners. It’s the way of the game tho, there are other platforms without commercials and memberships to avoid KZbin ads, but the network chooses to post it on KZbin in order to get the reach. KZbin doesn’t make individual decisions for each video - it’s a set rule regardless of what’s posted (and given the millions of videos being uploaded each year, it would be a department on their own if they were to start pinpointing which videos would qualify for being add free etc). I get the thought - but it’s the networks and consumers responsibility to choose a platform that suits the video being posted - not the platforms responsibility to adapt their service in order to suit the video.

Unfortunately we are in a time in our political history to wear if a politician compromises against something it is possible they will lose their seat/power so they do anything but compromise in fear of losing their seat. What it comes down to is that the people in power are not willing to help the people below them because they are more concerned about their self-interest and self-preservation. Anyone who gets into politics and is concerned about what's going to happen to them is in it for the wrong reasons. I'm so tired of our leaders doing nothing absolutely nothing in fear of losing what tiny power they have. And spoke about how sad the parents were and how teachers need to be armed and the schools need to be more secured, anything but the real issue at hand . The real issue is that someone can walk into a gun store and literally walk out with an AR-15 if the background check doesn't ping them( sometimes here with background checks for guns it doesn't immediately come back so they have to wait so many days for it to come back and then even if it doesn't come back they have to sell them the rifle anyways. It's a ridiculous system. And technically I could apply to another state like Florida and get whatever I need because they hardly do background checks down there. I could live in Georgia and apply for a concealed carry from Florida and it would be valid in 13 states). Why do some people insist that when there is some kind of tragedy and a loved one is killed, something must be done so that "their life mattered" or "so they didn't die in vain"? Mattered to who? Their lives matter to those that knew and loved them simply because for whatever length of time they lived, they lived. They loved and were loved by those involved. If one of the teachers, at the same time they were killed by a gunshot were instead killed by a stroke does that mean they didn't matter? The teacher's name wouldn't be known around the world so does that mean anything? The people who are actually grieving, not the community at large, not churches around the world who are praying for the teacher and the teacher's family, I'm sure the gesture will be appreciated at some point late when the torturous grief eases, but those who are so immersed in grief that their mins aren't sure, really sure this isn't a dream because it can be nothing else, don't give a shit about meaning or purpose, the only thing that, at this time and for a long time, they care about is the fact of death.

I extend my prayers and thoughts to the grieving community in Uvalde. My sincere sympathies. May God grant healing and repose in your time of need. Mr. McConaughey has given a speech in your behalf. As well intentioned as the recommendations are, we really need to sit down and examine how to best keep our children safe. Clearly the money spent in training and keeping our children safe, did not save all lives or prevent this crime. All our regulations did little to prevent unlawful acts. How is it that a first generation American fell through the cracks , got so messed up that thought violence was the solution? I have a problem with the reaction of media, politicians and police , it does does not give confidence that they are committed to the safety of our schools or our children.-Not even our communities. We see their incompetence to enforce law everyday in the news. Especially when repeat offenders are awarded to repeat violence and glorified in the media for doing so. No laws exists that makes our leaders accountable. Yet, I do pray that these events remembers those lives lost, and bring about desirable change. I agree these lives matter. I do not believe that raising the age limit will somehow remedy the problem . This person could of chosen a different weapon and chosen a different way to kill our children in the schools. But these guns serve a narrative . But it excuses when enforcement of law is slack and not enforced. Regulating guns will only keep the unlawful at an advantage. We really need to rethink our safety and configure our attention to the needs of how we are raising our children. It will do no good to point fingers or Revisit and glorifying a crime , that will only embold copy cats . And reopen wounds to grieving families. We , as a community, wherever we are. Need to recognize what has occurred and move forward without politics or new regulation, but examine our local schools - to fine tuning resources and recommendations to enforce laws, effective training and supply teachers and students with the means to protect themselves against intruders and violence in our schools. How about considering backpack shields; if not guns for teachers, equip teachers with pepper spray; if not police guards, perhaps trained volunteers with guns . And enforce training in school staff so that safety becomes second nature. Clearly, making our schools into airport check points and jails did not save lives this time. Yet there are school districts that has kept the schools safe, excelled in education and parents are welcome -school district likes this do exist and they did not go to Washington to try to fix a crisis that leaders politicize. I have the greatest respect for Mr. McConaughey. But his speech will not be used for the good of your community. It will be used for parties agendas. The parents of children going to public school, have the task to assess how their tax dollars are being spent in the schools, law enforcement, safety snd education. To examine leadership and rethink their communities. It’s time we consider seriously the safety of our children. The safety of our communities . And not allow the religion of politics to Enfringe the lives that really matter: our children. May God bless you and heal you. May a positive movement be birthed from this. We must all do our best to not allow this event to happen again. It’s up to the parents now. This not going to be fixed by politics. Don’t allow the lives that matter to be pawns for political agendas . We have tried it through regulations that were not enforced. It’s time our schools become a reflection of the values we want in our children. Because these lives matter.

I like the speech and how he remembers the children. But i'm not sure about gun responsibility ....how many problems were solved by guns used responsibly compared to how many lives were lost in mass shootings in USA throughout the years?? Many people are fucked up in this world, of course things like this happen, there is always a probability for them to happen, if going around with a rifle is legal....in the end the 70% of mass shootings in developed countries happen in the USA, because guns are legal. If there is no way to control this situation, and you don't want more shootings to happen, just ban the freaking guns.

You really have to hear all of this important address. Painful as it may be it's essential we all bear witness to these words and all the families robbed of their children through this needless rampaging over three decades now since Columbine in 1999. Surely we cannot be any less horrified or motivated to see something worthwhile being done; this time, this time politicians; make your choices count.

I love and appreciate everything he said, but im having a hard time understanding his statement about the young Garcia girl. "despite being born Catholic, she had spent the last 2 years attending a Baptist church with her uncle. And her parents said it made them happy, becuase she was learning how to love god in every way". Its difficult for me to understand that because myself being born and raised catholic we see god in every body and every soul, yeah we more so indelve into the saints and apostles, but the general belief is ultimately seeing the power of the father, the son and the holy spirit in every life that our savior jesus christ has given us. Again i love his meesage and my heart hurts for the families of all the victims, thats just my little tid bit of confusion in the message

Let's get a detached celebrity to tell us to compromise our rights as americans. You know the same guy that has no problem showcasing violence and firearms in movies; but when I need an effective tool that will keep me safe from someone breaking into my house that's a no-no. The only thing that Uvalde showed us is that we cannot rely on first responders. Criminals will find a way to circumvent the law to achieve their goals, look at what happened to Shinzo Abe. The only thing gun control does is disarm a law abiding population, giving more power to the people that are supposed to be working for us not the other way around. I can't wrap my head around why it's acceptable to allow those in Washington the best security for lawmakers and their families yet we can't do the same thing for our children in school.

@Angry_People_Media2 жыл бұрын
I've not answered a question like this for a while so I'll oblige an answer for a curious commenter. I'd actually like to talk about this. Well this might sound obvious or bias given my channels recent content because I am a competitive shooter, But the (granted) comical "why not" response as mentioned by Anthony here is as simple as it implies, Because we can. If you where to ask a hundred rifle owners what their reasoning behind owning a rifle is you'll get dozens of answers, I have a LOT of answers, I'll keep it short for now, But one in particular that most regards that underlying premise of the "Second Amendment" as you've asked is that it is a necessary tool. We live in a world with effective weapons, Criminals with weapons, Countries with weapons. Lots of people with weapons! Rifles are a great equalizer and it took 2 particular fascist regimes (Benito and Hitler off the top of my head), A holocaust and a hecking ton of civil wars to make that irrefutably, infallibly clear the importance of rifles in the hands of civilians. "Unarmed civilians can be molded to the likes of tyrants and dictators and decisions of which may not be represented by the people whom are powerless to stop the interest of individuals and the country". A quote from an editorial I made in 2018. "Power is equally distributed between state/govt and the people representing them." I believe side-of-the-street protests have their place but tell that to the "marginalized" under Hitler. Extreme case, Granted, But ultimate in example. A joke is often made that you cannot fight tyranny if they have artillery and F-16's with only a rifle, Well that's fallible at the least. Honestly, I own rifles for 2 main and simple reasons. First, They are fun! Of course you need to adamantly appreciate firearm safety. Second is that I was thrown into in a civilian involved shooting case at a young age, I was unarmed and myself and those I love could have been killed over a (pardon my language) a fucking carjacking of all things. Teenage me almost died over a 2007 Honda Element. Since I turned my states age to own, I owned and trained and trained and trained, Carry every single time I step out the door because the truth is, Nobody wants to get shot at but in a world where guns exist in others hands that chance is never zero and it may never be your fault. Fortune favors the prepared, But I'll be caught dead before I am indefensible for myself and those I love. Simple as that.

August 2017 - UNICEF is extremely concerned about an appalling increase in the cruel and calculated use of children, especially girls, as ‘human bombs’ in northeast Nigeria. Children have been used repeatedly in this way over the last few years and so far this year, the number of children used is already four times higher than it was for all of last year. Since 1 January 2017, 83 children have been used as ‘human bombs’; 55 were girls, most often under 15 years old; 27 were boys, and one was a baby strapped to a girl. The use of children in this way is an atrocity. Children used as ‘human bombs’ are, above all, victims, not perpetrators. The armed group commonly known as Boko Haram has sometimes, but not always, claimed responsibility for these attacks, which target the civilian population. I cry for the victims and am more than deeply saddened by this sick horrific crime! To the facts, while the police failed to enter and kill this sick individual quickly, ultimately that is exactly what happened. Good people with guns killed an evil person with a gun. Had that happened sooner more people would have been saved without a doubt. Yet I can almost promise you guns were most likely prohibited on these school premises. The criminal chose to ignore that, which was most likely exactly what the gunman was looking for, easy victims. Sadly In my state it is illegal for weapons to be on school property with or without a legal concealed weapons permit. When a criminal sees a sign that says "guns prohibited" I can almost promise you all the criminals read is "victims here". But step by step the government is using these horrific events to disarm good people!! Good people armed is exactly what keeps evil in check. Sadly I feel like the government almost promotes shootings and crime. From defund the police to letting cities burn to rioters. Then the government chooses to ignore the real issues which are much more difficult to address. The morality issue being just one of them. They blame the gun for the shooting which is like blaming the car for an accident. I also want to quickly address separation of church and state. While I agree 100% with that, separating the two. It doesn't necessarily mean you have to prohibit God in school. So ask yourself what happens when a society gets disarmed? You don't have to look back far in history to realize it is very bad! Many examples exist in the 20th century. Here are just a few. 1979-1971 Uganda exterminated 300 thousand unarmed people. 1981-1964 Guatemala exterminated 100 thousand unarmed people. 1977-1975 Cambodia exterminated over 1 million unarmed people. 1945-1939 Germany exterminated 13 million unarmed Jewish people. 1952-1948 China exterminated 20 million unarmed people. 1953-1923 the Soviet Union exterminated over 20 million unarmed people. 1915-1917 Turkey murdered 1.5 million people. In EVERY instance I just sited all of these societies were disarmed just years before their tyrannical Governments murdered them. I would bet none of these dead people would have imagined these horrors could happen to them, or obviously they would have never let their governments disarm them. Can't happen in American? Don't kid yourself, It is already happening! If we don't value our God given rights acknowledged by the United States Constitution and fight for those rights, we will lose them!! What can you do? Write the DOJ. Write the ATF and respectfully tell them they can't make or change laws to suit their agenda! Our second amendment is what protects all other rights and if you don't believe it, you're naïve or just foolish. As history has proven time and time again an unarmed society is full of victims. Let's not be victims and fight for our rights!!
@MatthewCross9292 жыл бұрын
@Richard Pierpoint umm.. yes, I was in the military. But what does that got to do with anything? Facts are still facts, and although the United States does have the 3rd most mass shootings in the world. If you excluded the cities with the strictest gun laws in the US, Chicago, Detroit, DC, Philadelphia, and St Louis, we are the 4th safest country in the world. More regulations on law abiding citizens isn't the answer.

And for the record, the reason that conservatives do not support ANY anti-2nd amendments laws is because, unlike liberals, conservatives simply do not trust government. PERIOD. You need to understand that. All governments are corrupt and capricious... always .... so why would anyone in their right mind let a corrupt capricious massive government take away the people's guns? The Founding Fathers enshrined the 2nd Amendment BECAUE THEY KNEW THAT ALL GOVERNMENTS CANNOT BE TRUSTED... EVER. So any attempts to take away any guns, for any reason, will never be supported by patriots.... nor should they. The very DNA of this nation is forged in this spirit. Everything about the USofA's "checks and balances" with 3 branches of government, as well as, States Rights WAS CREATED BECAUSE the Founding Fathers did not trust ANY government.
