Can't believe I'm at the point where Interstellar is nostalgic.

It took several years and maybe 6-8 viewings bit Interstellar has become my all time favorite film. It's so profound. How I view the film at 35 is drastically different than how my 25 year old self viewed it.

I return to my favourite books for the same reason. The book says something different, because I am different.

I am so thankful that Celebrities can express way much more on podcast like this than legacy media. Chris lets the moment brew, so Matthew can formulate his thought and give a much elaborated answer.

I live in England in Somerset and my high ambition and newly found passion for contributing to something greater than myself has alienated me from my family and my friends but it has also attracted towards me the people I am glad to have met and connected with. Throughout my life I have recognised the lack of excitement in the British culture, I hope to change that one day.

Thanks Chris for unraveling the layers of Matthew. Him and Denzel Washington are remarkable Hollywood stars that people need to learn from.

Yes, CONTACT (1997) is also a masterpiece. Many similarities with interstellar
@Highcaloriegrappling5 сағат бұрын
Don't insult Contact like that.
@Lewisfernie2 сағат бұрын
Contact was good, I liked the concept but felt that Jodie Foster was trying too hard, especially in the enquiry scenes. It also relies on humans being a "ghost in the machine" OS, and I don't think there's enough evidence for that at this stage. Still a thought-provoking film though.

Interstellar is a good movie, but to say it’s the best movie of all time is laughable. The Shawshank Redemption sh*ts on Interstellar in every way. Number one on IMDB for a reason.

Muricans need to delete that annoying ‘period’ from their vocab. Greatest movies of all time is such a subjective thing too.
@tronam43 минут бұрын
It's a fun coincidence that Matthew is in both Contact and Interstellar because Kip Thorne consulted on both of them and was good friends with Carl Sagan (who wrote Contact). Interstellar was originally going to be directed by Steven Spielberg many years earlier, but the project fell through until Nolan's brother brought him on the project.

Love that Matthew is so unafraid to talk about his belief in Jesus publicly. It’s rare to see someone like that in Hollywood. Also cannot wait to see the re-release. I’ve got my tickets for the 70mm screening here in LA!

Life itself is just an endless series of “trade-offs”. Figure out what matters to you as early as you can, if you can, so that when you have to make key life or influential decisions, that you are ok and understand the trade offs that will come with those decisions.

The most important thing in life is human potential because the saddest thing in life is wasted talent. Life is the quest to unleash human potential, and everyone has their specific role to serve the quest. You may serve the quest by focusing on your potential. You may serve by focusing on your child’s potential. Cooper served by prioritizing humanity’s potential, and human beings sacrifice everything for their highest priority.

@HighcaloriegrapplingСағат бұрын
@lukef6078 interstellar was a movie about how love was the 5th force. Science and logic can't be explained but felt, and humans are bad. Only people who drive the new pink jaguar would like movies like that. I bet you're a fan of She Hulk and The Marvels, too.
