Comparable to the best in Country and Western bands in US.

I saw a lot of Matthew & the Mandarins at the Shangri-La when I lived in Singapore in the '70's, & it's great to find Matthew & the band here, sounding wonderful, as usual. Is the Richard who is mentioned here the left-handed man who played the bass up-side down? Does anybody know anything about Don Nones? He also had a country-western band in Singapore & they played the Shangri-La & Four Seasons. The Richard I knew played in that band, too. Thanks for any info.

One of the Mandarin band member together with a Shangrila Hotel Peacock Lounge Eurasian waitress committed suicide at the Sloane Court Hotel situated at Balmoral Rd. Anybody remember his name?
