I've been diagnosed with high-functioning autism. With it comes a different mindset and talents. Sometimes, however, I only see the bad that comes with it: lack of social graces, limited eye-contact and communication skills (people seem to speak a different language even though we all speak English). I was rejected by people in my past; teased, abused, disliked... only my family and a select few were on my side. But even I can see how difficult my affliction is for them, having stretched their patience thin on many occasion. And there came a point where I cursed my affliction and I wondered how God could love me. But I've been looking at myself through my own eyes. And when I judge myself, I'm only seeing what I see on the surface. I think we all have trouble seeing ourselves the way God sees us because we see only what is on the surface, and we end up doubting not only ourselves but God's love for us because we can't see through His eyes when we beat ourselves down. But God does not see what is outward, but what is deeper down. I'll try not to make this too long winded, but I am not making any promises. When I first heard this song, it was when I was getting a ride from an uber driver. It struck me right away. This may be triggering to some, so fair warning. I'm pretty sure that the song was playing when I was going to a convenient care clinic to get stitches after cutting a bit too deep. Self harm is one of many aspects of mental illness I have struggled with from a fairly young age, though I am in my mid 20's now. I looked up the song on here about a week later, and it has been a comfort to me. I often feel like nothing more than, "damaged goods," and a lost cause. This song helps me to remember that God sees me as so much more. I don't know if anyone will read this, but I felt the need to write this and to say thank you.

I'm sorry for your loss. My brother-in-law shot himself in my house on May 7th, 2012. He left behind 3 sons. The youngest was 11 at the time, and he was on the phone with him when he did it. It has been so hard for everyone, but I think it's been hardest for him because of that. I wish all the time that I could do something to comfort him and take his pain away. I've played the blame game, because he tried to talk to me the night before he did it. The truth is noone can know what is in someone else's mind or heart. Only God. He has us all in His hands. I can relate but I know only through relying on God's strength and having some anti-pornography software on your browser, can help, I am still pushing for the goal of being off it for 1 month. There are some free options and options at a cost to help to deal with this. But also I recommend something instead of just focusing on the addiction, fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. Finally, I recommend memorizing verses from the Bible, so that God can continue to inscribe these verses on the tablet of your heart. God bless.

I don't think that I have ever heard of Matthew until January 2016; when he was at Winter Jam an hour away from my home. I only went to Winter Jam because my youth group was going and it only costed us $10 a person. It was an amazing experience for me. I never heard of many of the bands that performed there, because I mainly listen to three groups (well two groups and a genre) (Skillet, Pentatonix, and Country music). I am now following a few of the bands that were at Winter Jam because I love their music and messages so much! I was crying, tears streaming down my face, smoking a cig trying to keep the panic attack from coming. Then this song came. I literally stopped crying and everything I was going through at work and dealing with my past demons flashed before me. I heard a soft voice state, see your not wounded, don't worry hun were mending you. Trust me. This is year is my time heal and I have seen God miracle working within me. Helping me find my strength again.

This song is wonderful, but it makes me cry thinking about now, and my past. It's beautiful and I can't give enough thanks to God for making me born a Catholic. I feel like I've been in every bad situation possible, and I'm only 13. God has helped me through it ALL. Peace be with everyone out there who has stuck with God, or has found God. I am been a Christian very long for about 6 years now I've always talked about my past I've always told people I'm not a good man. I always talked about my past. Be onion motorcycle Gang Always getting into fights always be an in jail always drinking and doing drugs. But when you talk about your past to Christians they always bring your past up. I was told I'm not a Christian. I always try To Do my best. I'm always is honesty's I can be? Which is pretty d*** honest? I cannot hide my past so why hide it? So I stop going to church and I still listen to Christian songs and listen to church sermons on the internet. Truth be told I'm not a good man but I try everyday to be a better man. I did not have parents like other people have. My mother told me I was a mistake she never loved me my stepfather was a child Molester. I know I'm broken. I know what I am in what I am not. I love this song so much. I am losing everything and I still get criticized for what I was. I do not know what to say because my past. I cannot hide it this to truth but I am not the same person I was. I'm so lonely in my heart and then my soul. All that 1 is friends. In now my friends at church will not. Talk to me LSI come back to church. That is not a Christian. The lines in the sand Jesus never done that. Jesus said come as you are. Man that is not good and a man that was told hes not a Christian. I still try to help people out even though I'm losing everything because of my health. 6 heart surgeries. One kidney failure. And I still love Jesus I'm not blaming Jesus for any of. This.

Thomas don't ever stop trusting the Lord. He can cleanse and sanctify your life He can renew your mind. We cannot do anything out of ourselves. We need the Lord and we need to depend on Him only. He can still perform miracles. People are just people and if they judge others, they themselves will be judged by the same way they judge others. We are all going to give an account of our lives. Focus and keep your eyes on the Lord. Jesus said the heart is deceitful above all. My mom has a tiny (not so tiny) obsession with Mr. West here, so we listen to this album a lot on the way to school and other places. I have a past with self harm and suicidal thoughts and one day we were on the way home from my therapist when this song came on. Now, I don't cry a lot anymore, because I have depression, bad, and most of the time, I just feel numb. I remember my mom looking at me with a smile and she said words I will never, ever forget, "This is your song, God is talking to you." I don't know why, but I knew she was right, and I cried for the first time in a long time. I cried because I knew God was there and talking to me. This song makes me happy and helps give me hope and a reason to keep living. I'm alive because of this song and the God behind it.

My life came crashing down on Sept 16 2015. God thought it was my 23 year old son's time to come home to him. I have never felt such misery/agony in my life. I've had friends and family members die but nothing compares to the loss of a child. I was mad at God for a short time. Confused and felt so betrayed . I questioned God. I asked God, why would you allow me to have a child just to have him take from me? God, seen my son hurting and I believe God felt he had to step in. The night my son was killed in the car accident.. My faith fell to the ground. It took me time to realize that God did what he thought was best for my child. I am a strong person but I wasn't ready to let my son go. My faith has always kept me going. Without my faith I don't believe I would've gotten this far in my healing process. I will always grieve the death of my child. I will always miss him. But, with God by my side I will get through the storm. This song hit me in the heart. I believe music is a form of great therapy. Thank you for sharing this beautiful song.
