My girlfriend found out she was pregnant. I begged her to have an abortion. She kept refusing so I asked her why.. I didn't want this child. Covered in tears she put this song on. At the end of the song I was crying too.. I finally understood why. Now that the baby is born I am so happy that she made that decision.. God is good.

You three are lucky. My (ex)girlfriend 6 years ago, got pregnant with my child (without me knowing), and got an abortion. She only told me 2 months after she had killed the foster. I still have nightmares and my conscience kills me to this day. Take good care of your kid, and never let her/him experience the pain of this world

I'm an unplanned baby. My mom chose to let me live in spite of financial difficulties and also problems with my dad. I'm very proud of my mom. She is very strong. I'm sure God is proud of her and all moms who are like her. This song reminds me how I'm very thankful for my life and mothers who choose to do the right thing in spite of their struggles.. My parents didn't plan my life but I'm sure God did ❤️

Love Matthew West! I got pregnant at 17 living in a truck and had a doctor tell me straight to my face I'd be doing the baby a favor by not having it. I now have an amazing 2 year old little boy and his father and I love him to pieces.❤️ Everything worked out jobs, housing, finances fell into place and I can't help but be in awe at how God makes things work.

Not working so well for me. I mean great song but I'm not so sure this life is so great vs not being alive. I'm lonely after my divorce and can't find anyone to love me. My brother is threatening suicide. My mom is falling apart. My other brother is losing his business. My back keeps going out and the pain is immense to the point where I pass out. They won't give me pain meds for it. Sooooo not sure sure I'm thankful my mom didn't have an abortion. All this suffering would have been avoided. But yeah, what do I know, great song.

Children are undeniably the greatest treasure in the entire universe. To be blessed with the opportunity to raise or to help in the raising of a child is the greatest responsibility and the most fulfilling experience that can be achieved by any parent, other legal guardian, grandparent, uncle or aunt, et cetera. No one ever said that the upbringing of children is easy, after all each child is different and will bring their own sets of challenges that both parent and child will experience along the way. 40 years during the third trimester, I was injured in the womb due to my mom's fall in the bowling aisle. The doctor wanted to perform the late-term abortion; however, I am survivor and thriving throughout my life beyond limits. Although things happened from spinal cord injury, I was able to conquer developmental milestones. I was in the first early intervention program which increased my mobility and functionality skills to be able to obtain my early childhood development degree giving insight from a person who was in the program. I am a story Untold. I love this song. I thank my parents for 40 years of progression in my life.

Yup.. I’m 18 weeks pregnant and when my boyfriend found out, he immediately asked to get an abortion. But I grew attached to my baby already.. I felt it move today and.. no I can’t I can’t get rid of it I can’t take it’s life if my boyfriend insists then I’ll live on with my baby alone.. He doesn’t have to deal with the pain and loss afterwards! He didn’t feel those tiny kicks.. therefor he has nothing to say. I’ll raise my baby without him if necessary but I’m not giving up on this baby and there’s no way I’m taking this baby’s life.

Thank you for this amazing song Matthew West. I fell pregnant very unexpected with my son at 22 six years ago. I was far away from home, a broke student and not even in a relationship. Pregnancy was an instant ticket into depression. I felt like my life is over and it would be better to just die. But no matter the situation, my son's Dad and me decided that abortion is not an option. The baby is innocent and not to blame for our choices. We both listened to this song so many times. It encouraged me and helped me to heal. I would listen and cry throughout my pregnancy. It helped me to calm my anxiety and have a little bit of hope. I won't lie, the first years of motherhood were very hard in many ways. But now, that my boy is 5, I can say God had a plan and it all turned out very well. I can't imagine a life without my son - my sweetest love, my best friend, my precious angel. ❤ He has taught me so much and keeps adding so much joy to my life just as I add joy and love to his life. We are now enjoying life together. 😊 And all those areas we were struggling in at first, God has turned around for our good. I had an idea of how I want my life to be and sure, now with a child in the picture life is different. It is not as I imagined it to be. It is WAY BETTER! 🎉 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Words cannot describe how much this song has helped me in my actions and reactions especially in the first months of pregnancy. I have been listening to this song all day long. One of my friends shared it with me and I can’t say what a blessing this is. Life is a gift from our God and Savior Jesus Christ and we have no right to take that life away from an innocent unborn child. God considers the taking of an innocent life as one of the most awful of sins. With this in mind, here in the US there are approximately 3000 abortions per day. How much longer will God stand by and let this go on unpunished? I thank God for this song, and I thank him for the encouragement I have gotten from the comments below that stand so strong for the innocent who have no voice of their own.

I'm not religious at all, but I do believe that all actions have consequences (good, bad, or both). If you choose to do "the deed", raise the seed (at least until the child is born). In other words, if you don't want to raise/carry a child, use protection (or simply don't have sex)

There is always adoption and any women is at risk when giving birth, doesn't matter the age from teen to 50. There is no reason to end another's life. A lot of mothers would die to give their unborn kids a chance to live, I know I would and I'm very high risk cause of my heart condition but in the end I and my girl came out healthy.

Dang Matthew, I am such a huge fan. i love this song, its haunted me for awhile since I heard it. Being in the medical field, and being a survivor of sexual assault, I cant find it in my heart to be 100% against abortion. I have friends that have become incredibly damaged due to religious influence forcing them to carry a rapists baby. I also understand that sometimes people need to get abortions due to medical reasons, or because of incest. Ive seen it affect a lot of people, and I just think that abortion is sometimes a very tender mercy of the Lord. but this song takes all the contention that this topic makes. its not judgmental and its beautifully written. i just dont know how I feel when I listen to this song. i adore your music. spitarat I don't want to come across the wrong way here. Every life deserves a chance to live. However, I'd infer that the women who don't regret the "choice" haven't spoken with you because they aren't seeking any psychological help, because they don't regret anything.

@@real.sugarcone that is far from the truth. Most people that need mental help never get it ciz they cant open that pain again since its hidden deep inside. The new abortion laws allow kids to be killed all the way up to the moment of pushing and if the head of the baby is still inside they can still choose to have the doctor stab the baby in the head to death and then she births a fully formed recently killed baby, Virginia new abortion law gives them the right to choose abortion hours AFTER birth. Only .02% of all abortiins are from rape and incest, most abortions are done out if convenience. I used to be a Democrar but now its all too easy to see which side is evil, the one trying to stop babies from being killed is the good side, the evil side celibrates the new ability to kill more innocent fully formed human babies, if you support that, knowing that biology and science tells us that baby is its own human body only connected to the womans body by a cord. No life should be taken unless its a life and death choice, same goes for adults if its a life and death situation its human nature to kill to defend ones self. I dont believe in the death penalty cuz if i did i would say put these people to death who kill fully formed babies and or already born ones, put them all to death. People need to stop targeting schools, there are perfectly evil abortion clinics so stop killing the INNOCENT. If its blood you want then go for the ones who already kill innocent kids, dont hurt our children anymore!

This is my birth story. My dad didn't want to have kids But 3 children later we all lived To help him even though He never has told One of us he loves, anyone of us yet But I love Him and I make sure he knows I help him with his car and his home I'm there when he calls and I made sure that he knows I love Him despite never showing me That his mind is new not old He didn't know what he needed but God did I sure am thankful God did It's been hard to struggle through all those years So broken inside by the lies That I wasn't loved that I wasn't wanted And yet I still can feel All those tears from long ago I wish that I wasn't born to the family that I was in Then I grew worse every day even I'd say I wish I was never born if you know That way I'd never go to Heaven or Hell Nobody would be hurt by me when If I wasn't on Earth then their lives would be worth More than if I was under their toes I've grow up to value life now To help others who struggle to find how To accept who they are and overcome all those scars To break free from their past To live life ....... at last Thank you , Matthew West.
