Chair Plans (Ana White): www.ana-white.com/2017/06/free...
For Christmas, I built my mom an outdoor patio set. The set included two chairs (this video), an end table (future video), and a planter ladder (future video). I was able to find plans from Ana White which made the process go so smooth. Let me show you how I did it.
I would love to learn from you guys. If you see anything I am doing wrong or could be doing better, let me know. I love woodworking and I want to get better at it every chance I get. Mr. Nathan is a great teacher.

When applying stain on things like this, use a stain pad. Its a lot easier then using a brush and goes on A LOT smoother.

Awesome chairs. This IS TOP OF MY TO - DO LIST When I move to my new home in three weeks time. My tip would be * Sand the 2x2 2x4 and 2x6 before you cut them down to final size, sanding them first would be easier and all you are left with once you do your final cut list is a tidy up sanding for the edges..simples. ;'-) and while the timber is still the one length, stain it by using a ' radiator roller ' Pity about the link to those cushions... they absolutely make that set look plush. @matthewjhicks123
@matthewjhicks123 4 жыл бұрын
I designed it myself. Sorry I never got around to finishing the video. Basically, start with 4 2x4s, thanking you in each corner, then build two “frames” around them. Make sure the top frame is 1.5 inches above the 4 corner boards. Then just cut 2x4s to fit inside your frames and you have a table. It was super simple and I came up with it on the fly. Let me know if you have any more questions. If none of that makes sense, I can try to draw something up.

Hello Rachel! I REALLY appreciate you checking in on me! Yes, everything is great actually! I just realized shortly that filming woodworking wasn’t as fun as just woodworking! I’m amazed at how well the video has performed, but I find much more joy in just being in the shop without the stress of filming my process and just getting to refine my process on my own! Also, I work two part time jobs about 40 hours a week between the two and one of those jobs is about to become full time. However, I am wanting to make a video soon that explains where I have been and what is next for me and the channel! I’m about to start the process of building a Post Frame House (aka barndominum, lol) and I want to document a lot of that process. Really appreciate you checking in! Look forward to sharing more in the future! Have a blessed day Rachel!

Matthew Hicks I have a very large pile of 2 x 6 scraps and cut offs under my work bench now, perhaps I’ll make two for the front patio as well. I may just take it one step further and put a coating of the exterior stain on the end grain prior to building the chairs. Even though these will be under the covered patio with the sideways rain i think that would help protect them greater. How have yours held up to the weather?
