Very good decision to hide The Phalanx in 2008 because it is not in the same frequency with Shogun. But it is absolutely very good decision to put in album of 2021... And I think it is big musicianship to wait 13-14 years to find right album to put it into. Thanks Trivium for this art.

The Phalanx as it was finally released sounds epic, and It sounds great with your new and improved vocal skills. In its current version, it has a Power Metal sort of feel which I don't think you'd have pulled off back then and that fresh Power Metal sound is what makes this song stand out. The ultimate lesson though, never completely throw away old ideas. It may just be that it's meant to be saved until the right time.
