Amazing story. Rough job - you have great integrity. I once worked at a sales place where every single sale came from the generic email mass blasts and then phone sales people lied and pretended they were responsible for X amount of sales. Wild. I've seen this in the software developer world too - as crazy as it sounds. Pretending you wrote code you did not, multiple full time jobs - cheating the system etc.

Thanks for sharing. Lying and cheating happens in every department in every company…not good
@agentpower10 ай бұрын
Wild because I saw the same thing and felt the same way about my leaders in an entirely different market for the company. We are blessed to be working in better places! The leaders I have now are incredible. Lesson learned: If I hadn't seen how bad it can be, I wouldn't appreciate how good it is now.

Absolutely man. I know these last few videos come across as me complaining about that place because I am lol. Really happy I worked that job though…learned a lot

You got to have integrity. I was in hvac as repair tech not sales but our pay was based on sales I saw terrible repairs stuff replace that may not needed replacing

Yep, people drop their morales and integrity for money…it’s a shame

Bro. I walked into a situation like this. Dudes were setting up tentative calendar invites 6 months out to hit meeting kpis. Keep that integrity and moral compass in tact. Being able to sleep at night is priceless.

This happens far too often. I have similar stories from multiple B2C and B2B D2D. One from last year which was truly stunning.

False Churn is a product of management doing nothing to curtail the behavior. These companies have numerous reports with a never-ending list of KPIs they track. How hard is it to cross reference the addresses and account to clearly see when this happens? The game is about 'net new adds' that is reported on to indicate the strength of the company. It appears to be encouraged even at the highest levels of the org. I would even say fraud by the c -suite to the board and then board to the investors. Pretty gross...

Exactly. Leadership let this stuff happen…turned a blind eye…awful stuff

It’s a shame because everyone has the ability to sell but seeing people be unscrupulous at it is such a turn off.

Without really listening to what industry you were in but sounded like the telecommunications industry from cell phone company's to cable companies worked for both for over 10 years finally left. But yes they want you to do unethical things but it is worse what you mentioned getting current customers new customers deals everyone does it I did it all the time if you don't you'll starve because the pay is based off what your co workers are making. But what would cause me to leave a job and it happened at every company a new manager comes in and wants to make a name for themselves and when they struggle because they are going for the top and don't have the skills, they will start pressuring staff to straight lie to customers try to get you to add extra tablet or service to the customers account and either not tell the customer which always back fires and when it does they will leave you out to dry or they will have you tell the customer it has to be added thats its not optional. Anyways when it came to lying to customers I couldn't do it I couldn't add contracts to someone's account and sleep at night and I was always a top performer but wouldn't do it and the manager would get mad and I would end up leaving the company. Shocking its same scenario every time but it is.

So how much were these "top performers" making if they weren't bringing in any new business?
@MattMacnamara10 ай бұрын
That’s the problem. They were making a lot of money because the “sales” they made, which weren’t sales, looked like new businesses
