The level design is great, and the enemy animations details are awesome, everytime i see something mechanically introduced in subtle ways and enemies appearing in the screen with very unique personalities, very good translation from the original, i loved it

I feel you on the art style on this one, the initial reveal made me pretty bummed, but it looks very nice in action.

yeah when I saw it first I was so uninterested but simply just seeing the final boss in action makes this game look beautiful

Everytime Arthur dies it sounds like the bones are farting. Must be wonderful with a bass heavy sound setup.

After beating all the levels and shadow levels on legend and completing all hell holes to unlock the true final boss I can safely say this game is great, scarily hard but great. Though there are a few moments across the shadow levels that really should not exist... like the plant waiting for you at the end of riding the stone dragons, it's practically unreactable.

1:05:55 jumping while shooting in the opposite direction is one of the most satisfying things in the NES version, and I think it's even better in the SNES version where you have a double jump. It makes you really appretiate these rigid jump arcs, they are very much intentional gameplay design.

More like... Ghosts in Dublin. Wish they had done more with the art style in conjunction with the level design, since it seems to mostly just flat platforms. Get some realistic structures in there.
