Hey Matthew! No need to ever apologize for the quality of your videos. It is your content that I come to your channel for, and I have never been disappointed. You are not just a woodworker of a very high quality, but you are also an artist who is able to see things that others can't. If your videos were grainy, and black and white, I would still watch them! BTW some of my favorite channels are by people who don't even speak English! They are woodworkers, who out of sheer necessity do some pretty amazing things, like make dowel makers out of an old, used circular saw blade or door hinges, or make a table saw out of an upside down circular saw. Something I would never do, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do to woodwork.

Thank you for making all these videos! Carpentry work runs deep in my family. My generation is the first that doesn't have a carpenter, instead I work with metal. These videos made me setup a shop, and order some supplies to start trying my hand at wood working. My dads face kind of lit up when I told him why he was coming over to help me set up a shop. Hopefully I can actually make these things look that good haha

Than you for much for the inspiration! I'm a kitchen designer with a long history of cabinetmaking. I've been trying to think of how to make extra money on the side using my woodworking skills. I'm amazed by what you can make with just a little wood, bought or found free. The truth is you don't need a lot of tools to get started. I have the basic tools, miter saw, drills, skill saw. I have lots of hand tools, some are bombproof antiques. Your advice about starting with Smalls is genius. I always believed I needed to make big pieces to sell, not so. Smalls are A LOT more profitable and time saving. It's all about cost vs profit. Make jigs to turn the work into a quick and easy task. People have no idea how powerful a jig is in a shop when building stuff. In the cabinet shop I work in we had a huge wall of nothing but jigs. Like you I do eventually need to get a bandsaw. It cuts a fine kerf wasting very little wood, and you can split boards and cut veneer pieces to maximize your wood usage. A joiner is okay, but not necessary especially since I have lots of long hand planes that can do the job of joining boards. Again, thank you so much for inspiring me to get off my butt and start making stuff to sell.
Being european and seeing 2/5 projects are with guns is just a real culture shock hahahah. NO HATE. I love your projects and you being so open about it. Keep up the good work! Thank you for the video

Tip … I think in my Handy Man magazine about 20 years ago I got a tip. Write the length of the board you’re saving on the end of it. I have tons of lumber that I either had left over or ran across too good of a deal, that I got a bunch. I have a big lumber rack that holds my lumber. It’s 15’ x 5’ and it’s full. I don’t know how many times I needed a board such and such ft or inches long. It was so nice to just pluck it off my rack. It’s easy to see it’s thickness and width, but the length….?? If you use up your scraps and only about ten boards, I’m sure it wouldn’t matter, but I have at least a hundred boards.
