@@PixiePeachPomme A break is one thing but it seems SUPER weird to do it right in the middle of a multipart upload. Release all of them then take a break. Him not letting the fans know he's OK or even acknowledging it after in the next vid is honestly starting to become a little annoying. Matthew if you need a break take one. But at least do the bare minimum for the fans and let us know so we aren't in the dark about it. Don't even need to say what/why your taking a break. I almost un-subbed the last time you did this. When there was a nearly 6 month gap between the 3 night fall wilderness (Flipped Boat) episode and the 2 night winter hot tent. (Oct 3rd 2032 to Mar 24 2024) Then you didn't let anyone know either. Stop making us worry.

Having struggling mentally myself as many others, Matthew's positivity was therapy to me. But I couldn't forget in a "men's mental health" video that was passed to him a few years ago, when I found it odd that he kept on rambling of the loss of a dog. I mean, we all love our pets, be he spoke as it was a person, as the greatest loss ever. It was weird that he neglected his canoe, and it broke in half outside due to not winter storaging it properly, and just laughed it off. Later, he was on a solo canoe trip with Monty, and went on and on about an incident off camera, falling on his back picking firewood, and that he couldn't understand why he didn't get seriously injured. - Then he even decided to return his route and not finishing a loop, due to the canoe leaking. Still he repeated his accident over and over. - I don't know, but to me that evolution sounds like anxiety attacks and stress signals. I hope he's getting help. I've noticed prior to this video that he didn't venture alone on longer trips anymore. We're all different, for some dealing with it, it takes a lot of time, therapy, reflection, and somehowe recover with gradual exposure for the 'fear(s)', in lack of better words... I hope I'm wrong, but those signals and vibes are very familiar.

I loved Matthew's videos so very very much. His videos & personality got me through some very difficult times. A dear friend passed away last week, very unexpectedly, I'm hoping & praying we may get a Winter video at some point, that would hugely lift my spirits. This has to be the weirdest break yet. I understand he doesn't like going on adventures in the summer due to the heat & bugs but to go on a trip, film it, edit it & then upload parts 1 & 2 but not part 3, that's just dang weird man. Where you at bro !!!!!!

My best guess is that he had part 3 scheduled to release while he was away, and something went wrong. It has been two months, however, so the only explanation I'm left with is carelessness. I unsubbed way back when his disengagement began over a year ago and just check back periodically when I think to. He could easily declare and establish a new normal of just a few vids a year, but this weirdness of a trip upload going unfinished for months is bizarre regardless of any new normal.

Yes for sure waiting but .... Just did a five day lake chain in British Columbia, Sayward forest lake chain, and from that experience it is incredible how much work Mathews effort is. Packing the canoe, set up camp, tear camp down, eat fish gather firewood and it's a lot for a 65 yr old like me. Then add in camera work. Spare me! I took my go pro too but day 1 & 2 kicked my butt so not a lot of filming. So i will be chilling til. You go Matt! See ya when we see ya.

Here's you a recipe for deep fried fish if you like long johns or captain D's. Used half pancake mix cornmeal one spoon flour eggs and Used iced cold water in your batter. Make your ice water let it set get really cold before had it to your mix you also can used this for chicken tenders batter. Just make sure you use pancake mix and ice water.

Took 3X to watch. I have a new 8 wk old mini Monty at my side. Kind of a land shark. Great video! I also got to a canoe launch in Superior Ntl forest last wk. So beautiful! Not sure either of us will canoe but we can camp.
