Finding the smallest changes can make drastic improvements. Granted I am only using a phone, (S10) for now until I can get a nice mic, dac and daw. But am learning, or trying too, as much as I can with what I have.

Matt, one of my telecasters is super heavy for some odd reason too but it sounds really good. That ugly duckling of yours with your amp and gifted hands might be worth keeping around for recording if you don't want to lug it around for 2 hours at a gig for sure. Love the way you rescue these old guitars with passion, always super educational and entertaining to watch! So glad I stumbled on to your channel way back when I did, there is a bright future ahead of you musically. Keep forging ahead my friend.

Of all your guitars this one is my favourite. I bet that guitar could tell some stories! I own a 2003 Natural American Standard Telecaster.... sucker for the real wood bit. When I first saw that old tele, I thought it was the ugliest thing. The sounds at first was nice and deep throaty, but then once you said the neck pickup was unusable, that made sense. Well the care that it was given in restoring the pickups, I must say I like the sound. But in the end the guitar is a beast. I have never been a "tremolo" fan, so the Bixby, IMO, detracts from the Tele look. I was aghast finding out Fender removed the old bridge cover (but most players removed them anyway). Keep up the great content. Thanks.

I really enjoyed watching all 3 videos you made regarding this guitar. What an amazing resurrection/restoration. I really think you should keep it notwithstanding how you feel about its weight. Imho it's one of a kind and now it looks and sounds fantastic especially since you've had the pickups repaired/repotted. Furthermore I usually hate the look of Teles and Strats with Bigsby bridges and tremolo systems but this guitar has me smitten😊❤
