Spectacular result! I actually shot “by accident” with a 50% moon (opposite the Milky Way) and realized what a difference it made in helping me have a good exposure for the foreground. So now I’m totally fine with shooting with a 30% moon for example (always opposite where the Milky Way is), so that it actually lights the foreground properly, and without losing too much details in the Milky Way. I like it even more than when there is no moon at all. 👍🏻

YES! How good is it, I always shoot this way when I can. Makes life SO MUCH easier for your camera gear and editing software to acheive a fantastic result. Especially for people with only kit lenses, can all of a sudden get a workable image!

Really cool photo. Would have been awesome if the milky way could have been deeper blacks, more dynamic. What a process to make this photo. I really appreciate your creativity and skill and passion. Thank you. I enjoy watching you create.

I really like the foreground. The stars not as much. Not a bust, not a game changer. It looks like it needs to be darker or more contrast or more vibrancy/saturation or it needs something in post, but by the comments here everyone love is so it must be a good image.

You're making all these astrophotography with F 2.8 lenses, and yet I see so many KZbinrs talk about F2 or F 1.4. They make it look like F 2.8 is the worst thing for photography. You really made it easy because F 2.8 lenses are easier and cheaper to buy. and more useful also because there are zoom lenses with F 2.8. Which makes them more versatile. Instead of. F 1.4 lenses, which are primes.

Amazing! Me either, I am more interested in the 23mm as it would be ideal for my work. Let me know how good it is for Night Sky Stars :D

I had some surprisingly good experiences with night sky photography using the XC 35mm F2 so can only imagine that the XF 33mm F1.4 is going to be even better. Keep up the good work :-)

Love it! Great image, though I prefer star fields and foreground at the same Focal length. Closer to reality, less constructed. That Samyang though. Wow. I think I’ll pick up the recent iteration autofocus version. I wonder if it is as good as the manual focus.

Yeah I understand what you mean, sometimes I think to do a scene justice you need to play around with the lens you have. I can not wait to try that lens out - will be on my list if it stacks up for sure!!
