If De ligt formed a really good partnership with Daely Blind I see no reason he can’t form one with Lisandro. Some of the ‘analysis’ of him from this fan base is hilarious.

Surprised by his arial duel success rate. But honestly for the price I don't think we could get a better player to suit our system and make an instant impact. A huge upgrade to Maguire and makes the loss of Varane a lot less damaging. Also.. De Ligt ✅

Aerial duels were a concern for me before watching. Varane was superb in the air. I just hope sensible voices are heard in the new technical set up. Would be interesting to see Todibo analysed alongside Varane.

Can’t wait for people who haven’t watched De ligt to realise how good he actually is. People calling De ligt slow clearly haven’t watched him he was good recovery pace and aerially even though he might not win the duel he always makes it difficult for the attacker. Yes there are injury issues but if he can overcome them a truly world class centre back with excellent leadership qualities for £40m

I kind of dont agree with this. Its a system player. Varane from his realmadrid daya played in a system much more organized defense not really high linw high press systems. De Ligt in Ajax and Bayern played in high line high press system. He did match very well in Anax.

As much as I'm keen on de Ligt based on him being a good player, I've always understood Bayern to be superb with physiotherapy and sports science. Their players tend to be good athletes in what is a physically intense league. So if Bayern are willing to let a talented 24 year old CB leave for a surprisingly low price relative to his potential, what's their reason? Bayern rarely let go of their good players and this whole situation slightly reminds me of Casemiro: Signing good quality with an asterisk. Do they feel, with their physical knowledge of him, that he's not capable of heavy work load over the course of a season? And would this be further highlighted in the Premier League?

I think the pace thing is a bit deceptive. He is a bit slow to accelerate but over long distances, he'll definitely make it up because he has good top speed. Which is good for defending higher up the pitch. Once we start defending a bit deeper, he might get done by pacey forwards because there isn't enough time for him to recover.

Just a thought. Regarding the interest in Ugarte(an aggressive 6), would it be better to have two aggressive CBs that can both fill the room Ugarte left? Especially considering the injury issue of Martinez， someone has to take part of his responsibility and keep him healthier

Stop this notion Lisandro and Braithwaite can play together.Both are left footed.Idc how good a right foot Braithwaite has his preferred foot is left that doesn't work at in the prem (fulham tried last season with ream and bassey)Tactically big issue.At the end of day he is 21 year coming to Man Utd. Also name me another sucessfull cb partnership with both center backs left footed.

De Ligt has had a recurring problem with an Inside Knee Ligament, it flares up regularly and many times recently, Bayern will sell players with recurring problems, we have bought them in the past ie Schweinsteiger, I have not started watching this vid fully yet, but I assume you will expose the speed issues he has, Bayerns new manager plays a high line or at least he wants to

If we can sell Maguire (31) and Lindelof (30) and get Branthwaite (22) and De Ligt (24) I’d be happy with that business at CB. With Martinez (26), Kambwala (19) and Evans (36) i think we have enough cover for next season. Then the following summer we can move on Evans and get 1 more quality CB to complete the CB renovation and be able focus our funds in other positions for a few windows before needing to replace anyone 🤞🏽

As for Midfield: If we could sell Casemiro (32), Eriksen (32) and VDB (27) then bring in Ugarte (23) and Y. Fofana (25) our midfield would be strong, young and energetic for next season and beyond. Would sell McTominay next summer, or this if we got a good offer, (and potentially Bruno in 2-3 years) to fund signing 1 or 2 of the next best up and coming midfield talents in the world.

His partner's at Ajax were blind, Juve was Bonucci and Chiellini and Bayern Dier and Min Jae. They're not considered quick. I think if we keep him fit he'll be class
