Hi! Yes it is all paid camping. Here is a good overview: laugavegurtrailguide.com/laugavegur-camping-guide/ I think the prices are a bit higher now, I think 2800 kr/person/night for the FÍ huts: www.fi.is/en/mountain-huts/terms-and-conditions The Volcano Huts Campground always costs a bit more, because it is not operated by FÍ. As a camper you are not allowed to go inside and use the kitchen of the hut. For campers there is usually a separated outside area for water/dishes. At some places you have to pay extra for a shower.
