The press release is not sufficient to decide about merits and denerits of UPS. Let the draft or gazette notification come. Then only we can find the real features of UPS. At present, there's no clarity about maturity benefits of employee and govt contribution. The lumpsum announcement will not be equal to 60% by all means, and there's no clarity that whether the lumpsum is given instead of gratuity or instead of 60%.

NPS is not advisable since most of the pensioners may not be aware of various investment schemes.The retirees at their old age they may not know the ways and means to fetch the benefit from their investments due to immobility and health issues.Moreover, in most cases their legalheirs may not advice to invest such lumpsum amount in investing scheme. Therefore whatever be the quantum of pension it is guaranteed till their lifetime without depending anybody for their livelihoods. Hence, those who are covered under NPS, it is better and advantage to opt for UPS.

He is telling even after completion of one year of service one will get 50 percent pension is totally wrong, Nps started 2004many things he is unaware of, in nps 60 percent of accumulated amount will be paid remaining 40 percent we have to purchase annuity in any life insurance company, that annuity amount is fixed till your death that's called pension. After pensioner dies the same amount will be paid to your spouse, that is depend upon the scheme you select for annuity.

It is better to talk less and think more about development of nation The contribution of 10% is very less and it should be 20%. The amounts are spent for infrastructure and without arguments,the UPS is the best for nation.
