George V Paris also has removed logos from the buildings between GT4 First Preview and GT4. They are changed with Gran Turismo 4 or Polyphony Digital logos.

I'm from NYC that little snippet was super nice and it was the Era of physical games. Once it's out there it's too late to pull them back. The best the ad companies got was a south park apology. "oh I'm sorry"

3:52 These are called trimsheets or texture arrays. Basically to save on performance, instead of making a new texture and material for every building, you just make one larger texture that has the graphics for a wide variety of buildings within that texture, and then you apply the same texture to multiple objects and texture wrap them accordingly. This way, the engine only needs to render one texture for all buildings, making it save on performance significantly. I kinda love this video, because a lot of these secrets aren't actually easter eggs but basic technical stuff that is being used for memory saving purposes, yet to the layman, it's mystical. It reminds me of what life was like before I was a game developer and when I was fascinated with out of bounds stuff since I didn't understand the technical side of things yet. Halo 3 was a big one for me.

I walked around Grand Valley Highway after it was added to GT7, and I saw some nice Easter eggs: Near the bridge that is in the lower part of the track, there is a sign that reads “Grand Valley Bridge - 1997” as a nod to the first appearance of the circuit in Gran Turismo 1. Also, near the final s-turn after the tunnel, there’s a sign that hints at a yeti or Bigfoot. Maybe some more exploration is needed there?

An update: Behind the concrete barricades right before the Grand Valley Bridge on the reverse layout of the track, there are two signs. One, which is more visible, is yellow and says to look out for condors, seals, and Bigfoot for the next 999 kilometers. A smaller sign is to the left of it, in a grassy cliff leading to the water below. It reads "Beware of..." and it shows an alien ship abducting three cows.

5:38 there's actually one more small difference between GT5's and GT6's R246. The former Sony Computer Entertainment building on the start/finish straight had some Yakuza/Like a Dragon 3 (2009) advertisments on the side window in GT5. On the other hand, GT6 had them blanked out.

I have another easter egg at Panorama: Before the entry of Forest Elbow, there is a Speed Channel billboard still standing from GT6, GTS, and GT7. Speed channel wouldve already been replaced by Fox Sports within months of GT6's own release!

And at Infineon/Sonoma, there's a black NRA (US National Rifle Association) billboard (containing it's hotline) at the start of the backstretch. That's only on GT4, on both NASCAR and Sports car configurations.

Speed was a piece of my (and others) childhood and it was sighted as the intro to Motorsports as a whole (outside of games like GT)... But, Fox with their money grabbing selves saw that they can compete with the now incompetent ESPN and the now defunct NBCSN, so they launched FS1 (and Fuel TV for extreme sports fans became FS2). And boy I was pissed... more pissed than 8 year old me on August 27th 2011 (The last true day of Saturday Morning cartoons on the last true Sat-AM network... ABC... I'll miss you Disney's The Replacements. The following week was the birth of Litton's Weekend Adventure on ABC, and soon on NBC and CBS. Fox left way before it and The CW left at around the mid 2010s. And Ion tried to do it's own in 2016 or 2017, but failed massively.)

Really awesome that they included it in the game. Yup. Also the plane isn't really destroyed inrl, it's hidden from public long ago, who owns it now I don't know but someone with lots of money for sure ... Same thing happened at the start of the war the fleets of Ukranian Mig29 planes were reported destroyed day 1 in combat but the reality is they never even took flight, they were hidden all along and someone sold them to some country in middle east. They resurfaced in some hangar with all the spare parts documentations serials and everything ... YEARS AGO So later Ukrania's finance department was forced to gather money to source outdated and older Mig29 fleet from Checz Republic. In the media they were reported as being "gifted" just like everything else but we all know what a "gift" in EU and USA means, it's a credit with high interest and it's something that they can't sell so they rather launder it this way since it makes more money etc "we own you now" type of deal ... And on top of that now Checz R. needs to buy again some scrap airplanes from EU and USA as a result since they are in NATO / EU anyway ... It's all a domino effect really and making money one way or another or launder the same. So yeah the Antonov will eventually be spotted somewhere just like all the Migs resurfaced in middle east including the so called "ukranian phantom Mig" that alegedly fly undetected by Russian radars in Ukraine meanwhile the reality is that same plane is in on another continent entierly hence why nobody can detect it elsewhere XD Ukranians are so full of these childish stories for the media every day something new pops up ... Reality is the things they alegedly used is sitting in some scrapyard in middle of nowhere or it's sold who knows where ... the best ones and milked to beyond belief are the "captured tanks" , the old soviet tanks that they have hundreds of thousands sitting unnoperational for decades so they take it to a nearby field with a tractor paint a white Z logo on it and claim how they shot a Russian (Z) tank ... I be like yeah sure you did and I am a president of this universe.

Doesn't surprise me at all. Japan thinks everyone in USA loves Star Wars so they always spam that everywhere they can or at least ref it to appeal to the west. Reality is most people couldn't care less for things like SW, Marvel, and other superhero fictional nonsense ... Who ever is their advisor in Japan doesn't know jack about USA and their every day consumer base AT ALL. I mean look at all the toy lines to which all the Disney too is attached. They are all tossed out in a landfil since they can't sell them all and it takes up storage space ... Even discounted to a dollar still next to no one cares. If they could make an optimal number of things and not spam one and the same stuff so as make variety then we would not have this issue. Matter of fact most of the people are actually poor many homeless so they can't and wont buy stuff anyways ... But yeah little by little and sure enough SW content creeps in some place where it doesn't belong to the point people lose interest even in that other thing ... ppl got sick of it. But yeah here in this map that wampa is at least subtle and well hidden, so I don't mind it. Even to pass it as a yetti its ok. When things are in your face that is when it loses it's relevancy and becomes boring fast.

Amazing to see the advancements in graphics: In GT4 one tiny blurry texture gets wrapped around multiple track objects, in GT6 we get an HD Squirrel :) Old Easter eggs are nice, unfortunately the devs back then forgot to give us a freecam so we can actually see them :)

I often do about a hundred miles on SSRX whenever i have little time to play the game but i never noticed that plane myself until now, it's great to know that the Mriya is finally immortalized after it's destruction. Fun fact: the Mriya's predecessor, the An-124 Ruslan was involved in airlifting personnel participating in the 2000 Dakar rally to safety.

Great inclusion for sure. And yeah cool trivia. But yeah trust me it isn't destroyed yet. It's officially reported as such but reality is it's hidden and sold to some private collector, maybe it's taken to Russia to some base too. The Ukranian migs on the start of the war were all reported destroyed in battle yet they never even took flight, they were hidden and deported eventually sold and they resurfaced in middle east, even the spare parts I forgot where it was it's been years since it happened. Later Ukraina was forced to buy the old migs from Checz Republic and after that CR were forced to buy new fleets of scrap planes from EU and USA since they are in NATO. It's all financial domino effect and money laundry as a whole etc. In the media it's reported as a "gift" alongside everything else given to Ukraine but reality is that a "gift" in EU and USA means we will give you scrap since we cant sell it otherwise then inflate the credits with high interest and own you big time. They know what they are doing ... Just their stories in the media are way too silly, at first it was laughably sad now it's not even funny anymore rather overdone and too predictable I already know what they did before they even say it ...

Another animal easter egg worth telling in a future video is at the Visitor Center behind the pits of GT7's Grand Valley. Look for a sign saying Doge Point with a dog's head on it and tilt directly down from the sign, there you will see a park bench with a pretty detailed doggo laying on said bench.

I don't know if it's your capture settings, but this video is really choppy. If you go frame-by-frame, the video only moves on a basis of every 2 then every 3 frames. Are you doing things in 25fps, then rendering at 60?

its possible the capture card is 25 frames standard TV for PAL which doesn't translate well on PC media ...

console + tv is cheaper ... besides PC isn't for gaming and never will be, especially nowadays when majority uses phones, tablets, android TV and media boxes rather then anything remotely that is a PC PC it's hella expensive and ONLY good enough for work purposes, so get a console for games or just move on just like most people moved away from gaming by now
