Two greats there Matt. Jerry "The Terminator" Collins , he didnt take many prisoners, hard as fook played for the Ospreys down here in Swansea, what a player, im pretty sure he was sat in a pub down in devon and they didnt have a telly , so Jerry went out to local shop and bought one and took it back to the pub, Jonah played for Cardiff at one time but at the end of his career, I remember him in a Guiness advert , he was sat in this kiosk in a pub in dublin, no one knew he was in there, the punters put a coin in and a rugby ball come out with Jonahs signature, then after about an hour he came out of the kiosk, punters couldnt believe it, its on youtube , 2 great humble men, sadly gone

Great video Matt, the stories about Jerry when he played for the ospreys were legendary. He would often ask a taxi driver to take him to some random valleys village and he would just turn up in some pub, the locals loved him. As someone else mentioned the telly story, what I heard was that Jerry turned up in some village pub and asked the landlord if he could watch the telly as there was a rugby match on, the landlord said sure but the telly was only a portable one, "hang on" said Jerry, and he crossed the road to a supermarket and came back with a huge flat screen telly, "there you go mate, plug that one in" said Jerry, what a man!.

Jonah not just the first global rugby superstar, but probably still the only one. I'd rate Carter and McCaw ahead of him as players, but they didn't have his global star power and I don't think anyone has come close since. Jonah bought people to the game - you wanted to see him play. I was lucky enough to see him in a pre-season game at Ballymore for the Blues against Queensland in around 1998 and he was up against Ben Tune - himself a 100kg, very good international winger. All night long, Tune was a speed bump....Jonah terrorized him. Jonah was the most destructive runner of the ball we have ever seen.

Hope your well Matt mate💙even though I don’t always comment I’m always watching and supporting your videos Been a bit down in the dumps recently as I lost my best friend on the 19th January he was only 23, called Jakob who was a jeweller, such a great young lad was such a tradgedy Matt But got to remember tough times make tough people, he will always be behind me and I have to appreciate everyday. All the best brother, hope trainings going well and your family’s ok😎

I remember seeing Jerry outside twickenham, after an allblacks vs BaBa's game, as a 10 yr old. My Dad jogged beside him to keep up with him, he was so large that he made my 6ft, 16 stone Dad look small. He snootily took the programme and marker my dad handed him and quickly wrote his autograph on the page. I still have it in a picture frame.

Great men also scarey players to be up against. Rugby at a high level is an incredibly tough game unless youve played at a good level then you wouldn't fully appreciate it.
