On a lonely planet, slowly spinning its way to damnation Amidst the incompetence and unpreparedness of lesser space programs One team stands resilient against the herds! Putting their lives on the line to aid players Who were previously unaware of the Quicksave option! Yes it's the incredible adventures of Jebediah And his crack team of Kerbonauts! They are... THE BLUNDERBIRDS! Saving the Kerbin race one stranded explorer at a time.
@circuitgamer77598 күн бұрын
For one of these videos, you should give yourself the challenge to return the entire stranded craft undamaged to Kerbin's surface. Tiny crafts would obviously be easier, but I think it would be fun regardless. Particularly if you don't use the stranded craft at all for maneuvering, which would mean you would have to find a way to store it in a shielded area for reentry and get it all the way back. Maybe the reentry device could be left in orbit around Kerbin while you do the rest of the mission as well, which would be a fun twist to have to meet that component in orbit again before reentering.

7 years… I keep forgetting I’m nearly 40… I think sometimes, when watching these blunderbirds vids, the creator of thunderbirds would be pleased. They are gentle, not overly violent, and have humor. Makes me think a video recreating thunderbirds 1-5 in ksp would be fun. I may try that… also, the ‘jet pack’ was called the manned maneuvering unit or MMU. Though jet pack works as it uses jets of compressed fuel to maneuver, a jet doesn’t necessarily mean uses jet engines.

i think a lot of the controversy with fume is that your inhaling essential oils which can be just as harmful if not more harmful than vaping
@snark8949 күн бұрын
this depends on concentration, type of oil, and frequency. certain oils can actually be harmful in large concentrations, and anything in high enough quantity is harmful. point being that yeah, while it's not a good idea to straight up inhale essential oils, that's not what that product does. i won't pretend to know the kind of oils or the concentration, but i do know that you're not just inhaling pure essential oil fumes. it's a small amount mixed in with the air. also, it's crazy to say that it can be "just as if not more harmful than vaping." that's a bunch of crap. there are some health risks if you've got specific allergies or you're asthmatic or if you're pregnant (certain oils like sage oils can pose a risk if you're pregnant) but other than that there's not really any substantive claim you can make that they're especially harmful.

Another stylish Matt Lowne SSTO. Always good to see! I love the tail connectors. And that's what the docking port is for! good idea. I've been here 4 years (already!), but I think I've seen your entire back catalog, Matt. Jetpack is the original term, I believe, because a rocket engine was, originally, a jet engine. The original definition of jet engine was simply that it works by having a jet of gas coming out the back. There have been so many things I thought I was too stupid to understand but years later found out really were bad. I just wish I'd had more confidence over the ones attached to my family. I very much appreciate your honesty and care over the information you provide, Matt!

Matt, a rocket is a jet. An RCS maneuvering pack is a bunch of jets. Jet propulsion refers to the propulsion of a body produced by the forwardly directed forces of the reaction resulting from the rearward discharge of a jet of fluid. NASA's JPL is named that not because their specialty is air breathing engines. Non-jet propulsion methods include solar sails, sails, legs, propellers, wheels, fins, wings...I believe some cephalopods use jet propulsion. Bonus points for warp (Alcubierre drive)
@thewanderers9710 күн бұрын
Funny that you mention the low tech to gilly video, because while I had watched your content sometimes now and again, when I came back to KSP around half a year ago after the KSP 2 shutdown, your Lowne Aerospace 2 video series really helped me to get the hang of things. I had spent a couple years on PS4 before quitting and just waiting for KSP 2 to fully complete, but I went from years of mediocrity to mastering the game in just a few weeks on PC thanks to your series!

hey Matt, about getting stuck in a rut in terms of vessel design, something that's helped me (at least with planes in ksp) is making aircraft for other people. i'm part of a nation roleplay discord server, and something that i'll occasionally do is ask people whether they want an aircraft made, and what type of aircraft, some things about their nations' design philosophies or doctrines, etc etc, which just helps me do different things. the aircraft of an electronic-warfare-specialized robotic nation will be very different from the aircraft of a partially space-based nation focusing drastically on quality over quantity will be very different from a brutally efficient mass-producing nuclear nation, etc. just helps me get different vibes for different things

I think one should be skeptical when seeing a KZbin sponsor ad, but we shouldn't immediately assume it's a scam. My general rule of thumb though is that if it promises to dramatically change your life, whether its mental health, money, information, etc, its probably a scam, but for stuff like mova globes or the hover pen, or a scale model of a rocket, or even a razor, its a physical item that is either somewhat useful in a small way, or just looks cool, and generally those kinds of products aren't made to rip people off of their money, they are made because someone had a neat idea and then put a lot of effort into making it.
