Great video, love the format and the production value is top notch. Keep it up! Just don't forget what made this channel grow and what a lot of us early members are used to. We enjoy the 1+ hour videos with Matt telling the story, digging into the details and learning from all these amazing people in the industry. That is what sets you apart and what I think is one of the important aspects of your success. I realize that time is limited and you're busy with a lot of other things to chase, but I've been missing the old fashioned Matty detail series where it's just you and the camera talking about cars and life. Hopefully we can get a mix of that old style and the new style when your GT3 Touring arrives or when you get the E36 dialed in. Would it be too much to ask for a rage polishing Livestream? 🤣🤞

How does the soap react to the paint? Wouldn’t it strip any protective layers or is the paint bare

The paint is bare. The soap and water solution acts as a slip agent to move the film around when it’s on the car during install. Once it’s set in place, the excess is squeegeed out. It takes about 24-48 hours to fully cure and for moisture under the film to evaporate.

In order to wrap the edges he uses pre-cut pattern + 5/8" or similar, then stretches and cuts to fit/wrap the panel.
