I still love and recommend this combo. Personally favor it over every ceramic coating for its simplicity. And quite frankly, I just like applying wax.

This is nostalgic for me as well. I remember years ago when I got into detailing and I saw your videos about this combo. I tried it, loved it and now I want to go do this combo again. Coatings aren't as fun!

Notice the extra rubber trim between the hood and the fender for better aero. The Evo 3s have all sorts of nice add ons including thinner glass for less weight. And the brake ducts, the subtle trim piece over the headlights and a few other nice things vs the normal E30M3.

WAXED !!! The wet look and depth is a lot better than coating.

I used the old Menzerna FMJ when Proper Auto Care had the USA license and moved on to Blackfire. I never tried the Menzerna Power Lock or the the Jescar version. The Beemer looks fantastic. Takes me back to my Collinite days. Love it.

I’ve been doing this combo on my cars since I first started watching the channel 5+ years ago. Finally was getting mentally prepared to do CSL+Evo after this spring’s refresh/correction but your reaction to the old fashion way has me second guessing now lol. Always preferred the look of Jescar/Collinite over coatings, they all look too candy-like for me.

Not trying to gloat here Matt, but I asked you if you missed this recently because I am still holding out on coatings and using this combo. You told me no which shocked me, but this video made me think otherwise. Wait until you wash this car and your wash mitt glides slick as snot. You for sure need a car that you use this combo on. Just opening the car door and feeling the door handle brings a smile to my face. Also, and I dont know if you ever tried this, but leaving collinite overnight will get you a slightly more stout layer that I find lasts longer. Its much more of a pita to remove though. I normally do 1 coat overnight after powerlock, then I'll do "topper coats" of collinite later as I can feel it just starting to go. You can 100% get a year out of this.

Also want to add that a cool product idea you guys could make happen for this combo is dedicated containers that fit the Adams applicators perfectly. That way, when you are done you can throw them in these containers and not worry about dust and other junk getting in the pad. I've always put them in a ziplock to accomplish this, but a yellow and red purpose built container feels much more OG spec.

Matt. This Owen Samuels from Atlanta. Loved the “old School” combo. That’s what I’ve done on all my cars- almost ready to take the ceramic plunge. Have you tried Bilt Hamber “cleanser fluid” -- alternative to Eraser. I love it - I think it’s a bit stronger than eraser. Also, Traceless is incredible!!! Thanks 🙏

Matt seeing you warm up after wiping off the Wax warms my heart. I’m old School and still prefer to Wax my Cars 😉 I continue to routinely get into arguments with fellow detailers on the fact that sealed & waxed cars have way more depth & “Glow” than ceramic coated cars 😁 I have been experimenting with Griots Garage Ceramic Wax over the last 2 years and was just curious what your thoughts are on that wax? Side note I continue to use the combo of the German sealant & wax from KLASS 😏 Prost 🍻 Bryan

I still haven't yet switched over to a ceramic coating on my 997.2. Still have alot of Klasse sealant and Collonite 845 wax left. I top mine with Bead Maker. Lasts six months. Maybe I'll switch over next year.

I use EX 04-06 over PF because I believe it dusts less and is made for DA’s. They are literally the same product but PF was made for rotary.

I'm telling you Matt, you've been talking about one of those stinky old Honda NSX for years now. Get a blue or red one, wax it and run it until it becomes boring. One more check box to cross out!

I attempted GTECHNIQ's CSL/EXO v5 combo. The result was a candy coating. (I know you carry their line of products, I always order direct from the manufacturer) Erm, otherwise I followed your pre-coating steps. Two bucket method. One mitt per panel. Iron remover. Clay bar. Perhaps the key is to remove the OEM clearcoat?

You should do natural wax p21 over sealant because solvents in 845 will degrade powerlock
