I'm glad Pan mentioned Gyeon Interior Detailer. It's probably on my top 3 of detailing products I couldn't live without. It flashes super quickly with very light wiping which greatly reduces the risk of marring on piano black. It definitely has anti-static properties, although they don't advertise it. I've also used it to clean my computer monitors and TV screens.

I really like the 'what am I missing' series. I wish there were a few more videos in this series. Could I suggest doing videos with: 1) John - Forensic Detailing Channel 2) Lennert - Vermijl Car Detail. Attention 2 Details w/Chelsea may also be another one. She's just released a video testing 30 coatings. She's a little different from a lot of the other detailers with her approach. Would also be nice to see a series with: 1) Pete Hamber (with his scientific approach and explanation to why certain products are better than others) 2) Koch Chemie as they do have some really good products as well. It would be amazing to see a video of you both detailing your 911s side by side, at the same location. See the different processes, products, styles. At the end, letting the viewers see the results. Do people prefer the finish on Pan's wheels and the finish on Matts paint. Or did Matt get the exterior perfect, but Pan gets a better interior finish. You could even make it into a competition and have 2-3 external judges come in (like the guys from Rag Company). Video & edit RAD Garage style (that cinematic look). Loser cooks dinner for everyone or pays for dinner. Just a thought, I think you'd get a lot of views. I really enjoyed this video guys!

You mentioned in previous videos that you now use the accupour more instead of just guessing. I used to do the same and just load everything with more than necessary. What I found helpful was to print some labels with a label maker and apply them to the accu pour itself. The labels have the ratios for corresponding products such as snow foam and reset, so every time I go to wash I know exactly how much to pour and it makes my life so much easier. No more wasting product either.

Just got around to watching today and it was very educational and entertaining. I enjoy it when you two take a deeper dive into a products chemistry and back story. I also prefer to rinse from bottom up because it helps me know where I have pressure washer rinsed, especially if using a caustic or acidic prewash prior to a contact wash. Question, do either of you two know Bob Hoyle & Chem-X touchless products? Seems his expertise is in detailing commercial and industrial equipment. The claim is a dual stage process, like Stars and Strips breaks the static bond of dirt and road film from the surface, allowing the high psi rinse to remove more grime than any single stage touchless or pre-wash application and also results in a neutral pH application.
@KiloRomeoOscar7 ай бұрын
I just like to rinse bottom up in the pre-wash stage simply becauce its easier to see were you have been, after all this is easily the most crucial part in the wash process, it makes sense to do it thoroughly and methodically.

Labocosmetica Idrosave is a great rinseless, but it leaves a fair amount of (SIO2 derivative) protection. I've been using it here and there, but I haven't tested it on a coated vehicle yet to see if it negatively impacts coating performance like some toppers do. I've moved away from using toppers on my coated vehicles and am only using rinseless (ONR, Absolute or DIY Detail) as my drying aid as they do not leave anything on the surface that changes the coating behavior. We deal with tons of road salt up here in MN and I'm noticing that coatings seem to perform better and get clogged less easily when they aren't topped with SIO2 or other drying aids that have durable cross-linking polymers.

Have you ever thought about trying out new coatings with this new venture you have with EAG? Might be a good opportunity to try some new stuff. I haven't used them yet, but I think the DIY Detail coatings are pretty good stuff. If you take Yvan's experience, and add in the 30+ years of experience of his coating chemist... they might be one to watch. Ignoring the graphene aspect of the 3 year coating, all three coatings have some amount of silicon nitride which greatly increases flexibility and reduces fracturing of the coating (which causes failure). They're single layer coatings that are ready to go in one hour. The new C6 professional coating offshoot is also interesting, but sadly they seem kind of stuck in that old business model of not selling their best coatings to consumers. The way Yvan tells it, he asked his coating chemist what a coating would look like if cost was not a factor. It costs $300 for a 30ml bottle. The coatings are supposed to be very easy to apply, but any high spots left more than an hour can require wetsanding to remove. That seems to be the main reason they won't sell it to consumers. I say to heck with that. Anyone can buy a polisher and burn the paint off their car, but I can't buy your best coating because of high spot risk? It's nonsense. Apparently they will have a consumer version coming out in a few weeks, C6 Hydro Lite, that has a lower concentration of the refined detonated nanodiamonds. They are calling it a 6 year coating with gloss, slickness, self cleaning and water behavior that is allegedly the best available. That coating will also cost $300.
