I've had two of these Brooklinen down comforters. Over just a year, the down clumps up towards one end while the rest of the comforter is featherless. My friends have the same issue. Brooklinen needs to fix and improve their baffle construction so that the feathers stay evenly distributed throughout the comforter. The problem with reviews is they don't take into consideration long term ownership. The Brooklinen down comforter is now longer a "value" comforter and they've increased their prices. They need to improve their quality too.

So I have been in the market for a queen size comforter and a duvet cover. I came across your channel and was very happy with all the great info/content. I have used Brooklinen in the past for their pillows and have been very happy with them. Based on your review and your website I bought the all season down alternative comforter and the Luxe Duvet cover. Hey :) I need a recommendation please. I'm a hot sleeper but I love having fluffy, heavy-ish duvets but that maintain the coolness, and dont make me sweat. I have a perfect one (sheex brand, but they stopped making this duvet) but its a queen and I just got a king bed. What kind of duvet should I look for?

I’m looking for a lightweight but super fluffy comforter. I am a very hot sleeper, but I love a big fluffy comforter. It can’t be too heavy because it will make me too hot. Would this brooklinen comforter be a good choice for me?

Hey! The gray bedding on the left is an HC duvet cover. If you like something simple looking and you sleep hot, it could be a good idea to go with a cooling duvet cover over a thin comforter. I would consider a percale duvet cover with a thinner down comforter.

So far ive learned so much about bedding thus far and have landed on a casper supima percale duvet cover and for a thin comforter I have not found one yet..Which do you recommend? I really like your video on the snowman because frankly its a super reasonable price on amazon at 80 dollars...It seems like that one is great for the price... What particular recommendations can you provide me as in brands and types so I can order..Also, Ive learned alot from you and will be purchasing through your links as a form of honoring the source of where I get my information..I just wouldnt feel right if I get all this knowledge from your videos and dont use your affiliate links.

Have you taken a look at the Buffy? It isn't the coolest sleeping comforter, but it isn't too hot. It is more medium-weight and good for year-round. Also, I would consider the Basic Beyond Lightweight Down Comforter as well,

What's the best option for a hot sleeper who is primarily looking for silky soft, smooth and light weight against the skin feel as the no.1 thing they are searching for in a comforter? I tried a Lyocell comforter but sadly it made me too hot. I LOVED the feeling of the softness though. Is there something on par with that type of soft to the feel material that won't make me too sweaty?

Maybe the lightweight comforter from luxome. The brand has quite long lasting products despite the material used. Personally have the weighted blanket and sheets. It has held up pretty well and doesn't have as strict cleaning instructions as other brands working with the same material. Haven't checked all brands, but ettitude is more silky. This brand is harder to manage and if handled the wrong way the quality of the sheets go down. Really hard to fit specific requirements without being extremely delicate. So my current best recommendation is currently the brand luxome. If interested please look into thoroughly first to decide whether it's for you.

I just got Snowe light weight down alternative and love it. my bf sleeps hot, i sleep cold but we have both felt good. it’s a little pricey (200). I got an ikea medium weight it was too warm and was thinking about trying their lightweight bc i think it’s be perfect - the ikea was only $100 and felt similiar to the Snowe but was a bit warmer bc it’s a medium . I tried a few!

What down comforter would you suggest for someone who is a cold sleeper and wants an extremely fluffy down comforter? I have been researching and shopping for a month or so. I worry about the quality of those that are from China. I am just not sure if they would hold up over time. Any advice would be appreciated.

I do like the Egyptian Bedding down comforters. Very fluffy and warm. However, I am not 100% sure about the durability. I have read some customer reviews that the comforter doesn't last extremely long. I have, however, heard the LL Bean Baffle Box Stich Down Comforter is warm, fluffy, and also durable.

one comment and one question...comment- You have an epic head of hair and I wouldn't care what comforter I had if I could wake up with a mane like that. okay moving on to the question, I have the purple 4 mattress (and I LOVE it) because I am a hot sleeper. I want a down comforter because I want that luxurious fluffed up and soft cozy ass comforter but I am confused about which way to go. All season or Lightweight. Just asking about the winter, i keep the heat around 68F when i go to bed and have been sleeping with a sheet and a cotton winter comforter (from amazon for about $90) and its seems to be warm enough. I dont want to get the lightweight and be too cold in the winter but Im afraid to get the all season and be too hot. As a hot sleeper do you think the lightweight would be warm enough for winter sleeping (New York)? Thanks in advance.

Hey Anders! If you are okay with down-alternative, I would take a look at the Natural Comfort Down Alternative Comforter. If you are really worried about sleeping hot, we have also heard good things about Climbabalance's products.
