Great episode. I just finished demolishing a 1000 sq ft hunting cabin on my property. That structure was obviously deficient in all three areas which in my opinion, made it uninhabitable and irredeemable.

I reckon an electric tankless water heater would go nicely inside the envelope. The heating coil is protected from freezing, there is no gas to release toxic fumes into your house, and you can put it right where you want the hot water for maximum efficiency and not waiting for hot water to come through the pipes.
