I always thought the autumn colors in the Laurentians were breathtaking, but seeing this has shown me that Canadian autumns are spectacular from coast to coast. As for what's next-if it involves being outdoors in your backyard, count me in!

Ohhh. So this is how you do focus stacks! Thanks!
@MattShannonPhoto2 ай бұрын
There are a few other programs besides photoshop that you can use to focus stack. Auto blend doesn't always do it for me which is why the extra steps to brush in photo by photo is worth taking the time doing. Good luck!

Or you have a camera that does it for you.
@MattShannonPhoto2 ай бұрын
@@richardfink7666 You are correct IF you have the right camera. If you have a Nikon, you can do focus shifting in camera but you still need post processing to combine the images into a single shot. From my research Olympus / OM System (OM-D and OM-1 Series) & Panasonic Lumix G9 and S1R can combine multiple images in-camera for a fully stacked image. Thanks for mentioning this! It is quite popular in the OM System cameras and I hope Nikon adopts this feature.

@@MattShannonPhoto Canon cameras can do in camera focus stacking as well Matt. Figured id mention that in case anyone was wondering. I utilize this feature all the time on my Canon R7 when I do Maco Photography. I never thought of using it for landscape photography till now, but now im curious to try it and see how it turns out. Thanks for the idea Matt, good video and tips as always.

So many regular folks are taking great photos, that said, you're making great videos along with photos. I think of how easy it was 20 years ago, not only for photography but to get into parks to take those photos. You've got the talent so I hope it works out. The market is way saturated but people want new content. My advice on photos, don't include the date images were taken, it does make a difference to so many people.

Thank you so much! I’m really glad to hear the video was helpful. The Z9 is a fantastic camera for stacking, and once you get the hang of it, it’ll open up a lot of creative possibilities. I also did a macro video where I use Focus Shifting in Camera to take photos and then later stack them in Post. There might be some helpful tips there too if you are interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIqzaoqPadaWiJI happy stacking!

Love your work Matt. Did you use Texture or Clarity as you finished this? If you did, how much do you typically add?
@richardfink76662 ай бұрын
I find it too much work for a single foto.
@MattShannonPhoto2 ай бұрын
I totally get that! Focus stacking can definitely feel like a lot of work for just one photo, especially when you’re taking multiple shots and then aligning and merging them. But for certain shots-like close-up details in macro or wide landscapes where you want everything super sharp-it can really make a difference in the final image quality. That said, it’s all about what fits best with your workflow and style!
